Vorlin - I dont think we are that far behind the US in the "disclaimer" issue, my favourite it the "do not proceed past this step" on my ladder - go figure ? -- people can not be that stupid or could they ?

Seriously though, do we all really need another antipoint suggestion? Do little dots under your name REALLY mean that much? We've got alliances now, which is seriously pathetic. People are being banned over the whole issue. Everyone has been up in arms about it to an extreme the past two months, and all I keep thinking to myself is "Didn't these people get those little stars on their homework papers in kindergarten?" Is it really that important?

Ok as much as you people are sick about people complaining about APs i really think the worst ones of the group are the ones taht say "APs DONT MATTER!!" yet if you notice theyre always the ones that have the most APs, im not targeting these individuals but you know what APs do matter to an extent, when you see someone with 450 posts and 2 little dots it tells you something about that persons post quality and you pay alittle less attention to a person like that but if a eprson only has 300 posts and has 8 dots then that most of the time shows that the person has a little bit of some knowledge otherwise they wouldnt of got this far.
And as far as AP suggestions go.... AP Suggestions are wonderful, whats wrong with you people?? Every one of these itty bitty suggestions will help make the system better and less flawed, i remember when the AP system was first put in place... i dont think 1 person on the site dissaproved, most of us were very happy when JP brought this cool little feature.... so please next time you diss the antipoint system think alittle because it DOES matter alittle bit... might not matter as much as what your going to eat for dinner but it has its place.

GG, you've been here how long and have how many APs? Yeah, they mean something otherwise this would be nothing more than an script-kiddy haven and I don't know about you or those with AP alliances (you say that like you just found out about them...it's like cooked books, they've been happening forever), but when I got here last November, I remember thinking that it was pretty cool to be "ranked" by your posts, both good and bad. Took me many posts helping many people to get where I am...I know there are a lot that can't say the same for their 11 dots or whatever. The "little green dots under my name" mean something considering I know I earned them. I also know that I earned the ones I lost when I got negged by a senior member with a huge honkin' number of them.
Alliances are for the weak and petty...and those that're just "given" points for every little post they make, that's pretty weak too. Add in favoritism and other common problems and it's all going downhill.
Moral of the story: leave it up to some to bring down a simple IDEA based on opinions.
EDIT: two things. 1) if I had known it'd start yet another holy war, I'd have not posted. 2) I think the "green dots" under a name mean more than a name on a list (such as viewed profiles, etc etc).
JP DID say something about not signing your APs after some users signed their APs with the names of other people. I don't know how this would impinge on that.
