They don't hate Americans??? That's why the state department suggests that we plaster Canadian flags on all of our carry on bags or luggage, and claim to be Canadian if we are stopped by non official people while on travels in the middle east. They HATE americans in general, just not specific americans other than the gov't and military officials.

At least that is the way it was the last time I went abroad in the middle east.

What is the difference between a Canadian's lifestyle and an American's? Nothing. Then why do they choose to attack Americans and NOT Canadians?

In case you're wondering why I said that, I was just trying to answer two posts in one. Lucktsm stated that they hated us because of the cultural differences.

just cause everyone spreads has spread or is spreading propaganda dosent make it right. during the cold war when we where spreading our propoganda it was also normal to "collect" and "question" Russians(Red Scare) and that was also accepted at the time. and i dont think there actually spreading ALL of our ideas over there. of how we have the highest murder rate, and the biggest drug problem in the world..bah sorry if my thoughts are all over the place

i know that those in power there would like to keep its people cloistered and not have them hear the other side of the story, but thats not going to happen.

If there's a chance that we can win a battle with words and music, then i say its worth a shot. The article states that only 2% listen to the current station. It only takes 6% of a population to overthrow a government, but im sure a lesser percentage can greatly influence popular opion.

Ask yourself why are they opposed to a radio station. People here are free to listen to anything they want, and because of this we know bullshit when we hear it.

we can listen to anything on the radio or television that is ALLOWED by the FCC. for the childrens benefit or their own..how come it is also ok for us to show murders on television but not nudity...? not very free...but granted i believe its better then in lots of other countries
