Negative it doesn't need to be a Marantz ;) Denon has similar products. If you have something like 1000 euro left. But both manufacturors seem to have removed those type of professional recorders from their website. Did they stop production? Or did the cd industry kindly asked not to promote this sort of products?

I just downloaded what I think is the song you want Negative. I found it through a p2p prog. Do a search for soulwax. Or if you're on irc I can try and dcc it to you.
EDIT: PM me if you want me to send it to you.

oh, one thing that I have heard works for bypassing some of the cd-protection stuff is to use a black magic marker and draw around the outside edge where the "hidden" track is. I haven't tried this, but I have heard of success from some of my Mac friends that have run in to this.
Seems that some of this cd-protection they have built in will KILL an I-Mac, as in it has to be sent back to the factory for repair type of killing. The magic marker trick works for them though... I'll try to find a website that is dedicated to that.

Negative,
This hidden track that you are trying to rip......why not play the cd on your hi-fi system and direct on audio line from the headphone jack into the audio in port on your sound card. Then record the track using cooledit pro at http://www.syntrillium.com/cep/ and convert to mp3 or cda? Then you could burn it! Also try this forum http://www.cdrom-guide.com/ There is a wealth of knowledge on this site regarding the issues you are confronting. Hope this helps.

I know 2 good softwares to bypass those stupid protections.
try http://www.feurio.net/ (shareware)
or http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ (cardware)
They can crash your pc. But if you try 2 or 3 times, they'll work.
