Closing ports

Is there a way to close ports manually through DOS?

There probably is, DOS is fairly flexable. You'd have to turn off the services that use the port, and I can't imagine anyone wanting to purposely limit the uses of their computer. You might as well buy a calculator and a dedicated word processor.
