i think they are useing your ip address or a password cracker tool i recomend neo tools they have anti hacker tools for networks and i recomend testing you system out for bugs and if it dont work have your customers call in their credit card orders and use a hardware firewall they work better and cost a bit more but i have one and its a charm have fun and good luck p.s. hire a white hat hacker if nessary i hapen to be one
If I may suggest, It may be a pain but after this is all over installing windows 2000 instead of 98 may be a good idea because windows 2000 security is much better. Also istalling a firewall with strick permissions could'nt hurt.
If your using Cpanel? Are you... if not stop downloading your customers credit card info to your 98 machine. There is no way to secure windows 98.Quote:

Leave the customer information where it is at... in the secured database. You have a secure gateway for credit card processing? If customers are calling you and then you are entering data from your 98 machine to process your sales through the secure gateway it is pointless. You really need to upgrade your OS. If customers are entering the credit card info from your website and the website is not being run on the 98 machine which is not what your doing I know you would not do that then just dont dl the customer info toy our machine leave it on the server after you have batched out, or delete it after you batch out.
