Pornography

This is a controversial target and you guys are really brave and handling it quite courteously, I've had similar discussions with other people that go real bad.

My personal view is that which is already expressed. If you're not hurting someone else (at least without their permission) then it's ok. Keep the the kids out of it (if you can). Prosecute anyone that breaks the rules.

On self gratification... two biggest liars in the world: someone who told you they never did and someone who tells you they quit.

One word: hentai. At least making it doesn't hurt or abuse anyone. ;)

That is as long as it is keeped away from the little kiddies.

I have no problem with the porn industry. In California, next to agriculture, the
porn industry is what helps to keep this great state afloat. It's regulated, controlled,
safe, legal, and a legitimate business.

I also don't believe it hurts the image of women in general either. Some people say it
belittles us, it doesn't (if a lady lets some piece of video make her feel like trash, than
it doesn't say much about her to begin with). I'm a lady, and it does not bother me
one bit because it does not affect me in any negative way.

Some say that it causes men to be hostile and abusive towards women; as my sister
would tell you (she's a psychologist), if a man is abusive towards a woman in
anyway, he has issues that stem from a poor, difficult, or abusive (verbally,
physically, or sexually) home life. Porn does not cause the problems, and it's
ridiculous to believe other wise

We also shouldn't mistake a rape that's video taped as porn. It's not porn then, it's a
crime. There's a difference.

Women are paid quite well (far better than men) in this business. It's not a job I'd like to take, but if this is what works for those ladies, then kudos to them. I have no problem with what they choose to do with their lives.

For many of us, it's a great sevice they provide, heh. It can help out singles, and add spice to an already long term relationship.
