well at least someone here has good tast. As for those mentioning anything american from a major label (bud, miller, hell through in the canadian molson and toss in hinakin for good mesure.) we are taking about beer, not the piss of some one who has recently had a beer. When you have tried a real beer let me know :)
Ok first things first Guinness is not a beer it is a stout - also the drinks mostly discussed here in some parts of england would be refered to as largers while beer is an Ale...dont ask me why, damn english(!?)
As for best beers currently am drinking alot of Tennents - might have something to do with the fact I live around the corner from the brewery - lol
I would also drink Stella & the occasional Harp
All depends on whats on tap - def a pint man not bottles....unless its bottles of Budvar - chzech budweiser (i think its chzech - hmmm will go check)

its quite nice alot crisper than regular budweiser which I aint a big fan off - only prob with it is its very hard to find draft.....only place have found it is in Edinburgh and thats a bit to far of a trek for a beer - hehe

1 - Bottle Apple Sourz (highly recomend - not as shot drink double with ice....yummy)

You all seem to be dissing major brands. I dunno about you, but i'm a poor student. To drink my favourite import (Asahi) I'd have to drop out of school, to drink any kind of import I'd be dropping out. A case of beer for domestic is around 34 bux, to get busch it's 28 which is why I get busch. Beer tastes good no matter which beer it is, and the cheaper the better. We aren't all rich like some of ya fools.

beer is part of my culture and because I don't have to import it all I can have good beer without having to pay more :p
about the naming, here in the netherlands we call anything bier (or at least I do), wether it's ale stout lager whatever... so when we talk english we call everything beer because it's the most quick translation from bier ;)

nah at uni my staple drinking consisted of 3 litres Strongbow (cider) before going out - then down to a local bar for half price cocktails untiol 10pm - walk across the street to students uni for £1 shots till 11pm then a quick nip down the road to the crown where I had a discount card for to get cheap double vodka & redbull (£3) for the rest of the night :)
Its not drink which is the killer on a nightout tis the other wee exspenses - double normal amount of cigs cause smoke alot more when drinking, taxis (didn't matter much in teeside as was within walking distance), food afterwards that you never eat half of and find in fridge next morning, drunken phone calls from mobile to people you havn't spoken to in yrs cause you know that they really want to speak to you right now even if it is 4am

HTRegz: My taste for good beer is the only thing that keep me from being an alcohalic in college :). My sugestion, look for beast or beast light if you want a really cheap beer (milwakies best and best light.) arond half the price of bud where I was in school.

The price of beer is all that keeps me from becoming an alcoholic, but I love the taste of bud and canadian. I like to keep things simple..... I mean hell I'm a malt liquore guy.. I love drinking Colt and OE.... I love 40s of Maximum Ice because they're 7% and cost 3 bux..... :)

Vodka is way nicer for a lets get pissed drink
Red wine is nice for a special ocation
Champagne tasts ok as long as you poot somthing in your mouth to take away the orful after tast.
