A customer brought in their computer last week to have a memory upgrade. While checking the machine b4 opening the case (this is always done with the customer present..tell me why), it was noted that windows update had some 55 updates ready to install.. reason they were not installed..So I installed the extra memory, allowed Spybot s&d to remove some 350 items including 4 p0rn dialer's and Elkern. oh and updated his AVG..Quote:

This accounts for some 60% of the Windows users that I encounter (well not all of them.. many see the win update warning and ignore it..
The bigest problem is that the majority of users just want to get the job done with their computer, they don't care about windaz or linchucks or what ever.. they want to see their p0rn on the internet, copy their CD's, play some Warcraft III, and kiddy chat to their friends across town on (L)ICQ.. They don't care about virii, or security holes.. THEY DON'T WANT TO THINK. Fix that and more than half the security probs will be cured..
As for Best OS.. I have a 2000cc Nissan sedan and a 5000cc GM V8.. which do I use for towing a Caravan, and which is best for around town.. it is horses for courses.. and ALL OS writers can do better and M$ is no different .. just a bigger target..
As for the M$ whipping.. get JupMedia to creat a new forum.."F@#$ Misrcoft" and then you can vent your spleen there.. or "Mine is Better than Yours" then the RH9's can battle the XP's, and the lindows users.. not to mention MAndrake can use its magic against WinME and Suse, bsd, and Slackware..
