But I would like to point out a few things. Everyone brings something to this forum, whether it's technical expertise, web expertise or alternative view to life in general. We have a General Chit Chat forum and a Cosmos forum for all sorts of things tech and non-tech related. That's part of why they are there, IMHO. Life for many of us is not simply computers.
No one is saying it's wrong of you to criticize her. However, I believe it is a mistaken assumption to assume that Nightfalls_Girl is anything but typical. In fact, I think that's a wrong assumption of anyone here, male or female. Stereotyping someone means making general assumptions on someone without accurate facts. That is perhaps something worthwhile to consider. At the same time, I think it is a bit naive to assume that people will not offer their own opinion -- agreement or disagreement -- to your point of view. You are welcome to your opinion but you cannot fault others for having theirs.
This thread is hardly about tech. If Nightfalls_girls posts bother you, don't read them. You have the ability to choose what threads you want to read and what threads you don't want to read. Use that ability.
That said, the degradation of this whole thread has made me decide to close it. I would humbly suggest the following as options for the future:
If you are determined to continue this discussion, do it via conference or via Cosmos but do it with a bit of class. Please don't degrade yourself into simplistic name calling and verbal abuse. It doesn't solve anything, doesn't prove any points and rarely helps come to an understanding. Please understand I'm not a prude. I could probably swear many of you under the table thanks to some fine years in the Armed Forces (at the very least one does learn to swear well there) but I think debates and opinions are better presented when they are concise, to the point and present opinions backed up by facts.
Etruscan and Nightfalls_girl: AVOID EACH OTHER. Please.
