Racism (read with caution)

I have an idea I call it "The Great Send Back".

If your black and feel the need to complain about being oppressed by the quote 'white man' you should really look at the history books. Where do you think the 'white man' got the idea?

Back the idea I had, We take all the ancestors of 'black slaves' and return them from where we got them. Back to the mother land. Africa.
There you can feel really oppressed, learn to feel what racism really feels like. NO Money, Straw house, and if your lucky a pot to piss in.

YES there are a-hole skin head believers out there. No I'm not one of them, but whizkid2300 I live in black central PG County Maryland. You live in DC you know what I mean, but for as much you get pulled over, its not as bad a being hit in the head with shovel in Africa cause your to damn lazy to shovel pig crap.

African americans have had PLENTY of room to advance themselves. CONDLOICA RICE faggott, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Clarence Thomas, Colin L. Powell.... You cant simply say there havnt been opportunities for you to Advance yourself or the African American race.

You have no one to blame but yourself for your ignorance and laziness if you never paid attention in school, or didn't get what you wanted because it didn't fall into your lap.

I know plenty of African Americans that pulled themselves up from the sewers of NYC to and became decent young men and started families (2 kids, 3 cars and a house w/a white picket fence [no pun intended]) with good IT jobs, or owning there own businesses. BECAUSE They WANTED to better themselves, and didn't take time out to cry about who wasn't recognizing them for the efforts or past oppressions. NOW they get respect from everyone. ONLY YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.. RACISM IS MADE UP (by the white man to keep the black man down so he keeps thinking that everyone is out to get him but really no one is, but they stay so bitter and busy with the racism they never get ahead HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) AND NOT REAL!

As for mixed marriages... Im against it.

K I only read the first few posts... anyway, this is my p.o.v.

Racism exists in the world, equally, between the white and the black and the yellow and whoever else. While it is true that in North America [specifically, in the United States mostly] the 'black man' was enslaved by the 'white man' for a good part of US history, things changed. The opportunity to get a spot in the highlights is equal, coming from that point on[of course, there are other barriers and discriminations happening but...] The age of guilt need stop now, before things get out of hand. The white man paid, it'll never be enough but it can not go on like this much more. What the **** is more racist than an ethnical diversity quota? When you need to have a certain percent of each race, at the possible expense of people that deserve those places. That, I think, is pretty damn racist, because once you don't get the spot in the university, or the company, or wherever, and you know it's because of the ethnical diversity issue... you begin to wish the government, the respective institution, and the whole race of the guy that got your spot a number of very unpleasant things. It's not an individual's fault, but the societal view and this 'age of white guilt' that people should turn to dust. If you really want us to be equal, now...

'Blacks' should try and stop turning every word the 'whites' say as a proof of racism. Sometimes it's just being honest... I'm saying 'you are stupid' not 'you are stupid because you are black' or 'your race is stupid'. Learn the difference! Same goes for everybody!

I personally don't give a damn on the colour of your skin. It's all in the attitude you display, about the colour of your skin and your ethnicity and everything else. That's what I think should make a difference for more people. Colour, country of birth, things like these are part of a game of probabilities and luck nobody should base their judgements upon. What you do in life, however, is something else.

yea i agree with you both. racism definently exists, but i wouldnt say its worse in any way. black people are as racist to white people as white are to black. i live in such a liberal town tho, people think that black people are oppressed like crazy. they have just as many job opportunites as white people do, theres no real reason that they make up 75% of people living off of charity. my town sucks, for example just the other day someone was asking me about this guy, and i was like hes tall, and black. and they yelled at me for saying he was black??? i mean i didnt say it was bad or good or anything, i was just identifying his skin color so it would be easier to spot him. in my opinion racism is overrated, yes i think it definently exists and is a problem, but i think people make it a bigger deal than it is. if you actually look this stuff up youd find out that religionism (or whatever its called) is actually much worse than racism. for example, many terrorists are anti-christian, as in they kill and wont talk to the person no matter what. thats happening a lot more than racism. 9/11 wasnt caused by any racism. it was caused by terrorists who hate all of us who live in America despite the fact that they know very little about and us.

Deimos326 I don't think the war topic or 9/11 should be brought up. I mean, any terrorist/freedom fighting attack is meant to 'say something', in a very crude and inhuman way. The hatred that muslims manifest is directed at (a) american government's international policies and (b) jews. Interestingly enough, almost all 3000+ jews that worked in WTC were free that day... [no, I won't go into a conspiracy theory issue now].

But, in a nutshell, I think that the attack, like most terrorist attacks of this scale, was not intended to just kill [though, be not fooled, that is a big part of it]. It made a statement which the whole world seems to have heard. America will never reign like it did before 9/11, because America is now vulnerable, and that day has shown this in a very bloody way.

Where does that come from? Was it a holiday? Were they late for work? I remember it was still very early and the buildings weren't full yet?

No holiday. The early hour may be the cause, it just is quite strange that this target was not hit. It may be irrelevant to the whole issue, or it may not be...

I am just curious to the source? Your telling me that 3000 people supposed to work in the center... didn't decide to work that day? And they were all Jewish?
