Marrage=ticket to ride. When the ride stops so does the marrage unless you have found some common ground to share. Gay or straight. Thats my view, for what its worth.
Hey dopey,
I would cast Native Americans into another topic, but if you would like to see some eating at red lobster perhaps you should visit an area with large populations of them. I might venture the opinion that they choose to separation from most contact with whites. I live in the west, so I see Native Americans quite frequently. In fact we have an elected representative. You would be surprised that having a name like Ben Knight Horse Campbell would garner such conservative viewpoints as his. If you don't agree with his politics, then I guess that makes you discriminative to Native Americans the way some people in this country judge. (Previous statement is sarcasm - I like the guy and his election is coming up, so I guess I am pro Native American.) The Arapahoe Indian tribe was slaughtered near where I am typing this message; they have some strong opinions based on that event. I am glad I don't hold that kind of grudge against humanity. But then again I am not N.A., and I think red lobster sucks. It's over-rated. Most full blooded Indians (oops Native American) I know have better incomes than I do because they get huge kickbacks from Casino revenue, in fact they range about 6k per month per person in their household. Not bad, they could buy a red lobster franchise for that. I never supported the idea because while some are filthy rich, others are starving and our government has absolutely no jurisdiction over reservations, so what their tribal leaders say, goes, even though they have issues of discrimination and corruption within their own tribes. (damn I made it back to the anti N.A. label) Now onto gays....
I think you may have misjudged my quote a little. This is America and people should and are allowed their own little territory of culture. What I am saying is - it's wrong to force those cultures onto the masses when they already have their own culture as long as the prominent culture doesn't hurt them in some way. Like, I wouldn't argue slavery as a positive. Hmmm, even that may possibly fit into my original statement. I would venture that in actuality, the ideas of slavery at the time of the emancipation era was in fact a minority thinking. I bet most of the Union was appalled by it at that time. But I was thinking more along this analogy I just thought up with my Corporate Induced Star Bucks Coffee....
Say your in a room with 20 people and they are all wearing Blue jumpers, they love their blue jumpers and have been in them their whole lives. Then 3 of them suddenly confessed they hated the blue jumpers and started wearing bright red ones that offended the blue jumper people. In fact it turns out the one of the blue jumpers loved the red jumpers after trying them on so he goes to their side and now there are 4. But they aren't happy, they want the whole room to wear their style of red jumpers so they fight to have the Blue leaders force everyone to wear red jumpers and now only 4 people out of the entire culture are happy because the blue people lost their identity that THEY believed in even thought they are the majority and their blue love doesn't hurt the personal love of the red jumpers. I would say it is not fair to force the red people back into blue jumpers but it is EQUALY unfair for them to force the blue people to wear red jumpers. Ok that got a little wacky but if the reds are given equal rights and space then why force the blues into a battle and destroy their culture when they can coexist in peace?
