Raising the post level for the Addicts forum would only increase nonsense posts by postwhores who will get into Addicts no matter what. The post level for Addicts won't be raised :D
The "next" site benefit is still being worked on...

Hmmmmmmmmm,
I have been drinking (again) so here goes.........
How about dividing the antipoints by the number of posts?.........that should "out" the post whores, but more importantly the time wasters? OK I know that there are people who have points from when the rules were different, but that does not include that many people?
My rough rule of thumb is that you should have over one (modern) antipoint per post........OK I know that people get attacked and such, but I would suggest it as an ambition?
And maybe no more than 10% of posts in technical humour and 10% in cosmos? and the "nonsense threads" in GCC
General chit chat is difficult because a lot of hardware/software/virus/adware issues get raised there? but the nonsense thread is open to abuse?
So, how many members have we with a post count of over 500 who do not have a ratio of at least 1 post to antipoint.
Maybe it is about quality, not quantity? Yes, I realise that asking a question is not going to get you points, but how many individuals have asked over 100 questions?
What I am trying to say is that there are more dimensions here than meets the eye?
:drink:
Anyone that can get to 275 posts w/o being banned should have the right to post in the addict forum. It's not like golden information get passed around in there anyway.
I wanna take this time to thank Negative for answering the recent Site Suggestion's (including this one, thankfully) and for paying attention to this forum. He coulda just said **** it and not answered our request's. :D
Slightly off topic here, but why doesnt AO boot off the users who havent posted and've registered three years ago?I was browsing the users list, the list of users who havent posted at all's pretty long..keep an expiry date like say six months or so?
