Paul Johnson beheaded

It may be true that A.Q and other exstremist groups want all non muslims dead or converted to follow islam. But it is the policy of the west and the current and past superpowers that provide cause for non exstemist people to hear and see the actions of the west and decide that we are against muslims in general ( be it true or not ) and conclude that these exstremist representitives of the islamic faith are upholding the honor of islam. It isn't hard to come up with a number of actions by the west that supports their argument of us against them. The same old answer and reason used by the west is that they are jealous of our democratic society and what we have achieved. It's the other way around, we dont like how they live and what they call normal society.

Tidal, the west is guilty of some things. But their doctrine is not to destroy people based on faith. If that were the case this planet would be very different. The Mid east is not saint. I wouldn't be so easy to compare atrocities. How far back to we go? 50 years 100, or 1000?

I've read the Quran, and the Bible....and nowhere does it say in the Quran that killing in the name of Allah gets you to heaven. Not only that, but killing the innocent, guarantees eternal damnation. Lets get that out of the way.

Mr Johnson was beheaded because he was an American. They want to kill us for who we are and what we believe in. I think that this should unite Americans behind our president but it doesn't.

As President Bush said, this shows us what kind of barbarians we are dealing with. People say the muslims are friendly, they say that the koran is a book of peace/love, well I know for one thing, that its not. This was a book that I had to read for my World Lit Class, and for one page of the book it says love each other respect etc etc then you turn the page, and it says "Kill the infadels, blah blah blah"

The only way to get rid of these people is to kill them, cause they won't stop.

What kind of twisted ass book did u read lol. It is about love cheyenne, its similiar to the bible. They spent a whole chapter on Jesus and Mary in the Quran. LOL I doubt they use the word infidel :)....but it does mention that when Islam is threatened, one should prepare to give his life to defend it, and I believe it also says that you can kill in the name of Allah only when Islam is being threatened. Muslims are peaceful people, I know a lot of them and they are all friendly people. Do not compare these fanatic murderers with muslims....there's a huge difference.

And cheyenne, "they" have no rights under the Geneva Conventions, but sadly enough "they" don't have to follow the Geneva Conventions either. "They" are not a country (reason #1), "they" are not soldiers (#2).

An opinion is an opinion, but if one states something that isn't true, I'll take you (generally used here) on it. RoadClosed does the same for the "other side" :D

If one's opinion is that 1 + 1 = 2 and one backs it up with arguements that aren't true, I'd be inclined to say something, no matter your opinion. That may be an answer to Tedob's question as well...

If you state that the removal of Saddam is a good case, I'll nod and agree. But if you argue that it is a good case because Saddam was best friends with Bin Laden, I'll disagree. No matter the outcome.

Are you saying the president lied or rather that he acted on information that was provided to him and decided what he thought was best for the country? It is very hypocritical of the Dems to call the president a Liar an issues that themselves they said the same exact thing. I.E. Kerry saying that "Iraq had WMDs".

I'm not saying that Saddam was buddy buddy with Osama, as we all know Al-Quada hated Saddam but.....they still had ties together. One way that the Dems are pushing this story is that Bush, supposebly said that Saddam had something to do with 911 so we must take him out. He never said that. We are going after states that support terrorism, not only people who had something to do with 9-11.
