ennis -- i hate you like i hated my dog after she used to crap in the house (so it is only for a little bit ;)) the only way i can see that the thread went suicidal is because of the reddies you got for your last post in there...
btw -- here my post would be if the word association thread would still be alive (*hint hint*)
Well, I'm sorry, I just can't stand post whoring, and that was what that thread was doing. Ennis is a buddy of mine and I have in fact boosted him back up. If people would quit making these worthless threads that allow you to reply with "O" or some crap, then it would maybe take longer than 3 days to become an addict.
The last few months on AO, you might as well allow newbies access to addicts with the crap threads people can post in 900 times and become a senior. It's killing any point to the addicts, and making AO look like you can just post whore away to get a better status.
I'm still partly asleep, and getting ready for work, if you want to yell at me and tell me I'm a bad person, PM or something and I'll get to that when I get home. < / Half asleep >
On a brighter note I got fan mail and thank you notes from people for closing that thread. If you think I was out of line, sorry, but I really can't stand watching threads like that. I'm not the only one who feels that way after some PMs I got, and from some AIM conversations I had. I know a few seniors do NOT like that.
I'm not saying no one can have a "fun" thread, don't take it that way, but a fair warning:
Knock it off with these bull **** threads. Not to sound mean, but any more of these bullshit threads I find, well, they are wonderful for spreading out. It probably wouldn't bother me, but the fact that you couldn't make a technical discussion last that long with that many replies does.
Again, sorry, but I'm not putting up with that.
