Debs,
In a rare serious moment (for me!), I think that it is a hyena................it is probably an escapee from a private zoo?
You are absolutely correct..................it is NOT indigenous to the USA or South America..........and certainly not the cooler climate of Canada. It is an African savanna animal.
It is a pack animal, and a scavenger, if released or escaped, it has no idea how to feed itself (unfortunately, they cannot read, so don't understand theMacDonalds signs)
I would suspect that it might be suffering from malnutrition............that would posibly induce "mange" which would explain the possible poor condition it seems to be in?
It is NOT a dingo..........wrong head shape and body profile IMHO.
It probably wants company (pack animal) and human support ( to eat)............if my private zoo theory bears any credence, it is probably accustomed to the company of other exotic animals.
I feel sorry for it.........humans mess around too much!
just my thoughts
Yeah i'd feel sorry for it as well who know's what Mark did to it the other night, poor thing it must be terrified after seeing Mark in the nakie ;)Quote:

Anyhow what ever it is i think that it should be caught and taken to the RSPCA or something as it obviously needs to be checked out, and if nothings wrong with it then it must be some fruited up breed between 2 different species...
And then once i'ts been examined i think it should be put some place were it would recieve the care that it needs..
Damn i'm starting to feel a little emotional, what the heck is wrong with me, quick someone slap me back into reality......
The more I look at it the more I think hyena. Private zoo possibly, but no one will know for sure cause who'll fess up to smuggling animals into the U.S.??? Dumb, dumb, chicken little.
And as far as cooking it up, IMO there's WAY too much dark meat on that sucker, probably a bit too gamey to boot. Maybe if they fatten it up with some choice kibble it'd round out a bit. But mind you people would'nt want to put in the time to bar-b-que or crockpot it properly, it doesn't seem like a microwaveable type thing to me. But then a gain that's just me.
Now we know! Glad the poor thing is getting some treatment now, and also glad they didn't wait til it got dangerous, because we all know how that would have ended. :rolleyes:Quote:
Mysterious Animal Captured In Maryland
By First Coast News Staff
GLYNDON, MD -- All it took was a cage and a sirloin steak. That's how neighbors in Glyndon, Maryland, captured a strange looking animal.
Neighbors were calling it a monster, but it turns out it was just a fox, with some serious health problems.
The Red Fox has a severe case of scabies, which caused all its fur to fall out.
That, along with the small face and long tail, had neighbors struggling to identify the animal.
Animal experts are now working to rehabilitate the red fox.
Wildlife experts say where there's one sick fox there may be more, so neighbors have been warned to be on the look out.
Deb, You neglected to mention that it is actually basil brush
Boom Boom.
:)I'd say.....Quote:

Scabies is a nasty ailment, transmittable to humans................but:
1. It does NOT make your front legs shorter than the rear ones
2. It does NOT increase the size of your rear jaw
I am not convinced as yet...............
;)
The animal they caught is NOT the animal from the guy's backyard video, close but it's not. Te animal they caught looks like a sick fox, the animal in the video looks quite different, to me at least.
Dam that is ugly... lol what is it supposed to be anyone figured it out yet?
It look like a broken doggy, fox, want to be one but it is not thing...lol
