Can't wait, that was the fun of Doom (insert name here) etc. Cranking up the sound, turning off the lights and blasting bit mapped bitches to hell with the shadows of a candle flicking against the night. Oh and a 6 pack.

I'm waiting for a kick butt FPS game that lets you get more than 4 people involved. I want something like 100 person maps. Get me and 9 other friends together, and then frag the 90 bots or so. I can run the AI and play no problem on my Dual CPU system, but I haven't found a game that lets you have that much fun... Any ideas?
And Doom3 is supposed to run well on its minimal spec hardware. Unlike everyone else who puts a baseline Windows system on the minimal specs, Doom3 has playable specs there. Like in low quality mode I can expect to get 30fps on my 128MB Radeon 8500. Which is playable to me.
Also, you can use Ultra Quality on 256MB boards well enough. Just a bit of lag with loading textures.
I still play the original doom sometimes .. altho slightly outdated :) heh .... .quake 2 is still a popular lan game for me and my mates :)
