Er.... If you understood the positions Korea _always_ take when they want something you will understand that, in order to be successful in negotiations with them, your rhetoric has to mirror theirs or they will never give. It has been the way Korea has negotiated for more than half a century and they aren't changing their tack......
You need to look at things in their true context rather then looking at them as isolated "incidents". They take on a different meaning when seen as a part of a whole.

Accept for now that there is no illegitimacy to this presidency, there was no voter fraud, Bush won the popular vote by some 3.5 million, Bush won the Electoral College, the republicans improved their position in both the house and the senate and, finally, the most powerful democrat, (Daschle), got fired yesterday. All in all that is a pretty powerful message the American people sent to the Democrats... "We don't like your plans, we don't like your politics and we don't like your people".
IMO, it is quite possible that you just saw the end of the democratic party as we know it today. It has too broad a base to be able to satisfy the extreme left and the moderates and I think that as a party they are going to have to rethink themselves over the next 8-10 years in order to find a way to become appealing to the electorate again.....

I've done research papers on North Korean past, present, and future. If you attempt to scare north korea, they get pissed and start wars (or they will.) They believe they are the best country in the world, and if provoked will nuke someone. I can assure you. Madeline albright and jimmy carter didn't do anything but buy the U.S. some time. Regardless of his tyranny, the North Koreans love Kim Jung. They see him as a father, instead of a leader. People actually died from grief when Kim Il Sung (Kim jung's daddy) died. He was a tyrant.
For another, the North Koreans WILL nuke seoul South Korea if provoked. If this happens, an arms race will grow rapidly among a ton of countries around the world.
What i am getting at, is Bush better be successful with North Korea, and stay away from the 4 countries he has picked to help him, or he is ****ed, and we are ****ed. A missile from North Korea can hit our western coast, very quickly. We have no defense system against this. Kim Jung hates bush, particuarly after his labeling of them as part of the "axis of evil." This is another reason we shouldn't have Bush in office. Kim Jung will either not negotiate, or take a shitload of money from the U.S. before he disarms. If kerry, or basically anyone else was in office, they would have a better shot at negotiating simply because they didn't humiliate North Korea in a speech, like Bush did.
why did we elect Bush? was it the huge deficit, the unjustified war in iraq, or the destruction of the economy?
The answer: Karl Rove could get the masses to vote for a monkey.

I have talked to countless soldiers, and nearly all of them have said there is no real threat in iraq. There are just religious fanatics (Few) that cause trouble. One soldier said he has shot and killed several civilians on accident because of one car bomb incident. Ha, justified, my ass.
For another, U.S. soldiers are typically uneducated, and unintelligent. Now of course you have your select few bright people, we call those people "officers." The millions of voters including the soldiers that voted for Bush are mostly all uneducated, racist, ****tards who have no idea why they voted for Bush. Now don't get me wrong the Kerry voters have there idiots too, but lets think about what states Bush has won, and which states typically have a high education statistic.

Basically, you have 58.8 million people saying "Democrats, we don't like your plans, we don't like your politics and we don't like your people" (although I hope they don't include that last part... sounds kinda dumb coming from one American to another).
But let's not forget that there still are 55.3 million people out there saying "Republicans, we don't like your plans, we don't like your politics". That's a lot of people... and if they're forgotten, then indeed we will go to an America of "two people", an America of "my people and your people".
It always has to be black or white in American politics, though. I'm afraid another color would melt their brains. In the US, you are not asked for your opinion, you are asked if you are for or against something. You are not asked what you really think, you are asked if you're "with us"... and if you're not, then you're "against us" and are not worthy. There's no middle road in this country.
And all those black-and-white matters always come in a whole package. There's no "I'll take some of the black, and I'll take some of the white". No sir, you take all the black, or you take all the white. With us, or against us...
