I wonder if the Wireless portion of the router is working ????
Did you try to use the LAN wired portion of the router
on a know working computer.... I know you are going to hate
me .... did you plug a Windows XP box into the Linksys Router ???
Did it work ???? Can you connect to 192.168.1.1 and actually
log into the GUI ????
I would try the simple suff first.....
I can usually get a Linksys WRT54GS working within
about 2 mins from the time I get it out of that
idiotic plastic box....bloody fingers and all,
on either a cable or DSL circuit.
Just a thought but have you tried plugging your laptop into a connected ethernet cable and ran all updates.
ok i added the route and nothing happened i am getting a default network sometimes and it wont let go untill i reboot a couple of times. after i got it to pick up my network i tried the add route 192.168.1.1 and it added it but still could not get out i then rebooted the laptop to the windows partition and was able to get out from it just fine. and yes i have done all the updates. Could it be the wlan card not functioning correctly with the divers?
i know in windows there is a route print function is there one for linux and if so what is it cause i know i can a static route with windows with route add command and i did that in suse command line aswell but how do i vew the routes.
