Weird, you may want to try the SAMinside method instead, just make sure you find and older version of SAMInside that you can still PWdump from.

hrmm.. how about trying mount by itself to show the status of the mounted drives (this will include whether it's read only or read-write). Sounds like that might be an issue (NTFS is usually read-only)

But if the Ram disk is read-only...

I know, thats why I cam up with the newer tutorial because it seemed more streamlined. Sorry it did not work for you. If you ever find out that is was please PM me and I'll put a note on that page.

Ok i tried this on a different computer, and when i go to crack it with john witha dictionary/brute attack all i get is
no hashes found/or loaded.
i followed the steps and i dont know what i did wrong. Just wondering if this was just a simple error or not. Hope your still watchin this thread
