Big "G" or Little "g"?????

I will take issue with those who think that little Hitler teachers make the "rules"

In reality, the rules are made by the government, the local education authority and the school board. Teachers must comply with those rules and are answerable for that compliance

Here is an extract from that particular school Board's (VCC) rules:

It shall also be free of other unlawful harassment, including that which is based on any of the following statuses: race, color,religion , ancestry, national origin, disability, sex (i.e., gender), sexual orientation, or the perception that a person has one or more of the foregoing characteristics . . . This policy applies to all aspects of the academic environment, including but not limited to classroom conditions, grades, academic standing, employment opportunities, scholarships, recommendations, disciplinary actions, and participation in any community college activity

Note in particular that GRADES are mentioned specifically :D

The teacher has violated his terms and conditions of employment and should be fired. Whatever else constitutional lawyers come up with is just icing on the cake

What really gets me is when the "teachers" create bloviating attention and then they dodge the public and Press.

They feel free to teach and preach in their nutshell but when they get the attention they so rightfully wanted to pass along to the world ...................they duck and run as if they were practicing witchcraft.

Why couldn't he just mark a grade down? After all it's just a word … like atheist. I bet if she wrote a half witted paper touting the self conceptualized artificial intellectual prowess of all atheists world wide she would have received 110 percent. Perhaps that extra 10 points for bashing Christians. :D

I would say that he doesn't carry enough rank to pull it. I guess that the assistant professor needs to be shot as well?

Gore You have a point, proper names (nouns) should be capitalised, it is correct English. This was an English 101 paper so she should be marked DOWN for not doing so.

When I visited their community discussion forum last night, I did notice that a "Bethany" was the latest member............a coincidence perhaps? but I am still not discounting my conspiracy theory of an earlier post. I suspect that this runs a lot deeper than we can see.

lol Nihil you got me... I guess since they are the prof and they work there, to a certain extent they can do whatever they want.

The teacher made a mistake by making a point that others would be offended by what she wrote. He should have just said she didn't follow instructions so failed and then he should have shut his yap.

She should pull her head out of her arse and written the assignment in the way she was told to.
If she wished to make a statement in her essay she should included a justification of why she went against instructions within the essay.
