I have to agree to the sweeping sentiment here. It would seem that if the focus of the "Women of Color" seminar was to discuss the injustices the institution and white women impose on the Women of Color at that institution, they would want some white women there to hear it! Otherwise, it's just a bitch session (no pun intended). :bigsmile:

Why not? If you're mother was Mongoloid (someone from the Mongol region), and your father was Caucasian (someone from the Caucasus region), then you would be half Mongoloid and half Caucasian. A MongolCauc. Hmmm...maybe not. Perhaps a CauMon? C'mon..that's not right. Hmm....Maybe you can't be half-and-half. :D

Those women's worst enemy is their own self-imposed racism. Racism is everywhere...it always will be. Should it be? No - but it is. Their skewed perspective is the thing (if anything) holding them back. Whatever happened to pulling your ass up by the proverbial bootstraps and just getting it done?? Prove yourself through your actions....not your bitchfests, marches, protests, etc.

Actually...cross-breeding would not bring about other races...one would still fall into one category or another...

The three races are not area specific...so....Mongoloid does not refer to the area around Mongolia...it refers to the asiatic race

Negroid refers to the negro race

and Caucasian refers to the the white race ( which comprises europians, hispanics, south asians, some island dwellers, arabs/semites, and some African peoples : sudanese, ethiopians, and some others )

for decades this was the standard medical/scientific arrangement of the races until it fell out of favor with political correctness.

Definitely humanoid :D

However...I was just clarifying what races are as opposed to the sub-classes we have made up along the way.

All three races can be found around the world but the original classification was not color or location oriented...it was determined by bone and medical structure...the names caucasian and negroid was merely a poor choice of words.

The definitions have changed over the years...modified...added to...such as mongoloid was once used to define children with down syndrome...I am using those words in their original context only.

I wish I still had that old scientific journal which went into depth on how they determined which went in what category...it was quite advanced for it's time...considering the non-racial grouping of hispanics, south asians, some africans, etc...in the same category as whites...well..it wasn't exactly a journal...the book was a hardcover edition about the size of a very large old atlas book...it was quite huge...and it covered a wide range of topics...mostly dealing with evolution and theory in medicine and science.
