Are you kidding me? I loved those oldies. Give me Duck Hunt anyday. I've had basically all the gaming systems put out except of all those new game boy systems... I think Nintendo got a little carried away there. I still love whipping out the old things old and jumping around with mario or the ninja turtles. BTW I have a Ford Aspire and proud of it. (bought it with my own money instead of all these snooty kids having their parents buy them mitsubishi's and ****) lol.
The revolution will be (rumored) under $100 and run a good part of those oldies as well as some of the classic Sega library as well.
I do think it's cool to see what you can do to a system with mods and such, but yes, I must agree that not paying for games is stealing.
I have a modded xbox, I own games, I still buy games, I don't copy then.
Yes I could rent or borrows games and copy them to the drive, but I prefer to support the developers to create more games. I want companies like Bethesta Software to continue to create games like Elder Scrolls.
The only thing I get pissed over is dropping $50 on a game and discover it's the quality of a under $20 game. Which is why I rent a game and read reviews, then if satisfied (and not completed it) I buy it. :)
back to the topic of this post...of course you can crack a windows based gaming system...they built it on top of a customized version of windows...this system is a piece of junk and probably needs a lot of windows updates. MS only wanted to get to the market first so they could bask in the market share they so desperatly wanted. If Sony comes out with a well made and clean running version of the PS3 right off the bat then MS will regret their mistake of rushing into production. MS is so massive you would think they would have a lot of talent. They only seem to be concerned with their domination and not helping out the people. I hope Sony comes in and whoops some XBOX360 ass.
Oh and just as a side note did anyone hear about how MS is being sued for making faulty XBox 360 systems...what a joke MS has become...but they sure do know how to make money...good lord!
Last time I checked, Microsoft is always being sued...Quote:

This lawsuit is just a couple of people trying to get some quick cash... I've yet to see any reputable source that has had an xbox crash on them.. Quit a few gaming websites have had xbox 360's running for days on end without a single crash.... I think it was xbox-scene that had a few informal reports that most people having problems had their systems in enclosed entertainment centers with poor ventilation..
As anybody with some common sense should know, this type of system will need good ventilation, as will the PS3.. If you stick your xbox360 into an enclosed area, with a cable box sitting on top of it, it is pretty likely that it could overheat...
I was talking to the guys at a local bestbuy and they said their floor model 360's have been running from early AM, until the store closes every day since release, without any crashes...
I think this guy will have a hard time proving that the 360 has a fundamental flaw with so few units crapping out..
Every system will have flaws as long as humans are involved ... I agree with mohaughn but like I once read : "If common sense was so common then why is it so uncommon ?" ...
Seriously though the old MS produces crap blah blah is getting kinda old ....
B.T.W. maybe reading the manual might help to avoid problems ... But who actually reads those ???
Playstation 2 anyone ??
Actually i purchased one when they were released here.Quote:

I had it sitting on the Coffee Table and it still fried itself. There was no electrical shortage, as it was plugged into a Safety Switch, like everything else electrical in the house..
Anyhow played it for 2hours in that position and the thing went dead.
I thought it was just overheated so i unplugged it from the wall and let it sit there for 3 hours, i then came back and plugged it back in and it still woudn't work.
So now i've just got an over expensive paper weight..
I ended up taking it into a shop and had them check it out. and the inside was fried, and bits of wire were melted etc.
One of the corners has a slight melt mark on it, but i think it adds character to the ugly design..
cheers
front2back
yea thats one of the other problems. shortage batteries, fries easy, buggy..real buggy, plus the way you have to pay more to make it better...yea thats why im just not buying one. MS is always getting screwed up and over and why well its self explanitory. Just look at there great accomplishments!
An interesting read a came upon while at work today. Was told about it by a customer, so i checked it out and thought i'd post it up here.

Men Charged with Felonies for Xbox Modding
U.S. prosecutors have charged three men with copyright infringement for selling modified Xbox consoles that allow the systems to play pirated games.
Jason Jones, 34, Jonathan Bryant, 44, and Pei "Patrick" Cai, 32 are co-owners of ACME Game Store in Los Angeles, CA. The complaint alleges that Cai was modifying chips and hard drives so users could copy rented or borrowed games onto the console for future play. Then the three men were selling the consoles.
All three men are charged with one felony count of conspiracy to commit copyright infringement and to violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. A maximum penalty of five years in federal prison can be given.
During the investigation, undercover agents for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement paid $265 to have a modification chip, a hard drive, and seventy-seven pirated games installed on an Xbox.
