I did think about that, but for the amount of betting that I do, I could not be bothered with the effort of setting up an account, and worrying about the security.

I generally just bet when we get to the track, which would be maybe twice a year?

I do have a go on our national lottery...........last week I roped HTRegz in...........Anglo-Canadian Alliance? we were pathetic, both of us got one number out of six!!!!! they were 8 and 28, but I cannot remember who got which.

I had missed the weekend before last's games due to travel, but I caught them this weekend - and after watching both team, Steeler and Seahawks, and consulting some football gurus and checking my crystal ballz - it all points to the Steelers. CBS Sportsline has an article highlighting the Steelers strengths:

And on the CBS Sportsline site they are taking a poll on the winner - with @35,000 people weighing in right now with their opinion, it looks like a majority of the people are taking the Steelers (64%).

However, while I am picking the Steelers, the Seahawks are obviously kickin' auss as well. In any case, it should be a great game!

I made a lot of pocket money on the Steelers back in the '70s. I was a Steelers fan when it wasn't popular (at least back East where I was stationed) and I always picked them on the office pools. This was before the Seahawks even existed (they came in in 1976).

Anyway, I like to bet the odds. With all the hype going the Steelers' way, a judicious bet on the Seahawks should bring in a nice wad of cash come Feb. 6.

Not when they lose big to the Steeltown crushers. I admit the Seahawks are a good team...but it'll take better than a good team to stop the Bus and co.

KorpDeath: I'm with you on the Steelers man.. my team is the Eagles (second team is Steelers, but yeah..) but since they aren't in it (which sucks) I'm with the Steelers all the way.. And you're right.. who can stop the Bus and Big Ben? Not to mention Hines Ward, Antwaan Randle-El, Troy Polamalu.... I can go on forever.. :D

The Seahawks defense, of course. They've dismantled or nullified just about every hot offense in the NFL, to date.

Just put a few more bucks down on the Seahawks! They arrived in Detroit yesterday and the city obliged with rain and gray skies. How's that for making the soon-to-be Super Bowl champs feel at home!?!?!?!?!

Did the "Hawks" bring their Longjohns, oh right it's indoors....The Bus express is going to go through the Hawks defence like they were from the West Coast...........oh right, they are from the West Coast......hopefully they'll put their surfer boards away long enough to watch the steelers roll all over them..... :D

What the hell is a Seahawk anyway's, is that like a "Seagull" (Sh*thawk) on steroids........ :p You know what seagulls are good for eh!......picking up the trash on the beach, the leftovers, just about what they will be getting on Sunday........ :D

Much as I hate Pittsburgh (ever since they beat my Cowboys back in the 70's) I've got to pick 'em over Seattle. Contrary to those of you who've picked points spreads, however, I'll say it'll be a blowout - expecting a 14 point spread at least, looking for more.
