one major problem with that tiger ol' chap. I live in the states. NOTHING sold here can pass for beer. Back in highschool i had the oportunity to visit england with my band and was able to try some fresh lager in some pub, and i am forever unable to drink and enjoy the crap i find out where i live.

I had a run in with this stuff in 86, while in Wihelmshaven, after my head cleared two days later, I was told the Germans, only drink a small glass of this stuff at meal times, and I was also told that they use this stuff to anestithize horses(must be the codeine)... :eek:
But yeah, beer is the nectar of the gods, you don't think Thor would be happy with a bloody Mary do ya.... :D

Jewish... They have these new things.. They are called "imports"... It's not perfect... But it's closer... You don't _have_ to go "girl" just because you have such memories of a sweetie you may never see again you know... ;) We all know it's hard... But if you need we'll start a support group for "real bee drinkers that miss the _real_ beer" if you need it... I've done 17 years on this stuff... and I'm still "recovering" <VBG>

I don't mind a beer either... but I totally agree with morganlefay about "very hot and close to water". Nothing like champagne and strawberries by the ocean....

What precisely is Cod Liver Oil? Is it oil from the liver of a cod? :p And what is it's purpose?

Cod liver oil is from the liver of a cod, just like halibut liver oil is from the liver of a halibut.
You get vitamins minerals, omega3 oils and the like..............it is helpful regarding suppleness, joint lubrication and the like.
I have seen it produce quite impressive results in people suffering from minor arthritic conditions.
At your pet store, that is what you will get for the "old dog" snake oil..............only at 20X the price
Do not attempt to eat the liver of a Polar Bear.............you would die from vitamin "A" poisoning.........well, maybe......... I guess you would upset the bear first? :D :p :cool:

Back in the day.............I can remember getting nights on the trawlers..............they would pull the nets for old wrecks, so you got a little while to spin and pirk..............get a 30+ pound cod, and you had a fight on your hands...................I won't even go into the subject of conger eels................. :D
Every time we sailed and played around in the Grand Banks, there was allway a few Newfie's who would show us mainlanders how to jig Cod, and back in the 70's or 80's, all you had to do was drop the line in the water and give it a few tugs, and voila (French for there you go) a nice big fat Cod.
Congers, sound tough, I remember seeing a few Moray's while snorkeling down in the Carribbean, caught a few garden variety types around the jetties here in Halifax, eels can be a tough fight.
Oh and those toads, speak Portugeuse and Spanish......with a big fat Russian trawler waiting to process the whole shebang..... :mad: (another thread maybe.... :p )
