Absolutely no problems finding partitions. Are you sure you have a good burn of the DVD? If you are getting errors saying that the files couldn't be copied to the partition that is a problem with the source DVD.
And what do you mean by speedbumps? I seriously doubt some programmer is sitting there saying lets put a 5 minute delay here just to mess with people. I'm also curious how you know when the harddrive should spin, and when it should not spin. Since it doesn't tell you each and every thing it is doing, there is no way to know "when the drive should spin." Watching a drive spin while an app loads seems kind of silly to me...
Let's keep this constructive and on topic. No need to have any of these threads turn into a linux bash of windows or microsoft....
BTW- The high CPU and system specs are to be able to fully support aeroglass and the other graphics enhancements that exist in Vista. My machine at 1.8Ghz and plenty of RAM can't run the high end aeroglass UI. There are several items I have noticed are even disabled in the non aeroglass UI because I don't have enough graphics processing power. I have an older radeon card with 128MB of ram. Not sure the exact model of the radeon.

I wanted to admin an old post of mine, but it's been too long. Looks like Sam and Syskey no longer work the same. I can dump encrypted hashes for the SAM it would seem, but I don't thing syskey is in the same place in the SYSTEM hive anymore.
