congrats deb. im 3rd of 6
Not with me it didn't. When I had my first, I was induced and my husband missed the event because my son was born in about 2 hours! They said afterwards I'd been given a bit too much of the stuff that induces you - either way it was incredibly painful despite an epidural.Quote:

Congrats on your new addition. I am very, very happy for you and yours.
I often wondered what it would be like to hold a newborn, see a toddler and all that. When I came into the picture when I got married, the kids were already pre-teen. My wife asks me if I regret not having any kids of my own, but no, I do not regret not having my own, because I have my hands full with the boys who will most likely be children in heart and mind for as long as they live.Quote:

In a way, that innocence is nice, and sometimes wish I still had it too. It would be kind of nice not to worry about grown up things like bills, problems, job stress and the like.
Congrats Deb, now you can have your own soccer team. ;)
Bet you can't wait to Read Harry Potter to him.
Congrats Deb :)
Congrats!!! I'm an uncle 7x over, and still haven't taken the plunge.
Currently, we're reading Winnie the Pooh - what age is appropriate for Harry Potter, would you say? :DQuote:

Congratulations on your child process! :)
I'm thinking Harry potter books generally advance in maturity level once a year, so the first book three years before the fourth, etc. Of course, my parents read me the Lord of the Rings back when I was seven or eight, so I dunno about my judgement.
hey...I read my kids "Networking Essentials" when they were 3 ;)
thier favorite though was Dr Suess "Go Dog Go"
I highly recommend it
