We'll, I think the subject of age in the computers and technology world is a great one. This is one place where people of all ages interact with each other as equals.
One might suggest that those of us that are a bit older, say gen-X and older generaly know more about computers and thier many applications in our lives because we all saw the internet come into exsistance and some of us even helped it along.
The younger guys and gals have a step up on us though. They were brought up by computers and not just the TV. Kids are learning every aspect of computer use at a much younger age. My younger brother of only 13 uses the computer everyday. He's picking up application knowlage much faster than I was at his age. He is exposed to things that were just being made when I was using my 'state of the art' Atari ST.
Oh well at this point I'm just rambling.
I'm in my 20's. Long live Generation X.
I'm 15....I hate high schooool...:(
n' I ain't no script kiddie either!;)
I must say that I'm very impressed with the number of replies I have received so far. I didn't expect to get half this many. It seems so far that most members here are between 20 and 30 years old, or in their early adulthood. Let's see if we can keep the replies coming.
Once again, let me stress that I do NOT assume that all teenagers are script kiddies. That would be hypocritical on my part. Some people still seem to think that I'm making that assumption.
Im 23 elite eh?
:eek: 41, i am here for research, this site was suggested in a textbook, I WILL FINISH COLLEGE I WILL FINISH COLLEGE...
I polled that I am older then god
Because even though I am only 43 I have raised 1 of my own children and about seven throw away kids I feel like I have been around for a long long time:) The throw away kids are people that the parents did not want any more because thier needs were more important then the kids. Most were teens and were lost in who they were but I think we helped at laest a few.
My idea was not to annoy women, i'm a woman myself!Quote:

PS: someone gave me a negative antipoint for this! thot i should clarify.:)
Here's another blast from the past :)
I too am just learning code and starting the long process called college. At 19, I have learned c++ and VB, and I am planning on learning more. I just hope to learn something useful, instead of just how to make a text box say something. I have played with computers for about 10 years now, so I started off with a old 8088.
i'm 24. i just finished 4 years of school and now i am starting all over again in my second semester of programming [and loving every minute of it]
:D
:p
Too young to die or retire and too old for the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, or Santa.
Guess I am one of the youngest =P (14)
26
I myself am 17 and mostly lurk around here..
17
16, interested in everything about computers...not a script kiddie, just want to learn all I can...
yea im 15 and im definitely not a sk. right now im barely learning vb6 at school and in my senior year ill be learning c++ and maybe some java if im lucky.
I'm 31 and happy to see that I'm not the youngest here and neither the oldest..
It's interesting to see what kind of good knowledge there is amongst everybody even real young people awell as elder people (like me) :-).
well i'm 19-though at the same time i feel both young and old.........anyway its cool to see where all the knowledge is coming from..............pity you all live so far away-i wouldn't mind meeting up..............................................................................:p
And what do you think of my age?Quote:

Becoming a doctor takes another four years (I see where the confusion is coming from - I didn't know the D. in Ph.D. was for doctor, I thought it was for degree ;) ) . So, I'm just a licentiate in philosophy... No intentions on becoming a doctor...
Candidate = BA (Bachelor)
Licentiate = MA (Master)
Doctor = Ph. D.
:)
I'm only 14. I didn't know that there were so many teens. I thought that nearly everyone which visits this site would be 21+
It's intresting how everyone (well mostly) acts very mature on these forums even though there's a lot of 15 - 19 year olds. I don't see a lot of swearing unless they're flames other than that this is a very 'mellow' forum.
oh, and i'm 15 :).
Hi there!
Most say that women tend to shy away from talking about age. Oh well, not for me, I do not need to hide mine. I am happy to say that I am a big sis to most guys and girls here bec. of my age, which is 25 :)
A blessed day to all!

Age, the second most-asked question on the net after gender... Stflook, I think you've started a benign cancerous thread. We all love tolemerase, but....

i agree hellbringer87!
i've crossed paths with some people in their 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's who act less mature, are less informed and aren't nearly as articulate as most of the teenagers here. in my opinion, the teenagers at AO are quite an exceptional group of people.
I am little 19 y.o girl
I'm 14!
But... Not a skript kiddy.
I've been programming since I was 9.
w00t!:rolleyes:
I'm sorry, but I'm not the one who brought this one back to the top. I'm just as amazed it came back as you are. I thought it was dead and gone too, but apparently not. It's at 8 pages so far. I wonder how much longer it's going to get.Quote:

Lol if ur 30 do u put ur age under 20-30 or 30-40 ? lol no im not 30 im 17 but i was just curious ;)
Looking at all these threads, its funny that almost anyone under 18 claims that they are a script-kiddie immedietly after stating their age. :D
Well I am 16, almost 17, and I am not a script kiddie either :D
