I am 21, currently working as an intern system admin for a software development company. I have to take care of many win2k servers and 1 solaris server and offcourse help out the (l)users with tech support.
Good part is it pays well and I am the only admin, nobody who tells me what to do :)
i am a net admin/security/pc repair/reseller/tech support
man i love it all too and just like you i have locked my self out of my own boxes ;)
i am working on expanding my service area and clientele (basically people that can't afford full time it pros.
I'm not working at Video Update anymore, I work for a startup company called sure-sign.com
I don't get paid that much but it's a good experience.
I'm an IT student at an Italian University, I hope to became a System Administrator.
Hmmm...I'm 24 and primarily self taught (hoping to go to school this fall). I started out as a software tester working with unix/windows environments and all kinds of apps. Currently I do software development for a game company doing e-commerce sites/applications/etc.
I am now a student at DeVRY, and am currently learning programming. It isn't a bad place to be, but it isn't the best one. I want to learn as much as I can about computers, because computers grab my attention. Hopefully, some day I will create something to be proud of. And the DeVRY I go to, is now a DeVRY University
I am a 31 yr old Operations Manager. Have worked for the same company for almost 13 yrs. I am responsible for the network, phone system, pagers, two-way radio system, voicemail system, and basically all operations and procedures of the company. I have obtained MCP status but have not had time to get the MCSE. I was also going to school to obtain my BS in CS but had to put that on hold. I have also been designing and developing websites since 1995 and prefer the developing side to the design side, I love to code.

I do technical support for United Online....Yes Juno and Netzero (dont laugh)
I take inbound calls as well as doing callbacks fixing what the normal L1 agents on the floor were unable to fix.
You never know what you will hear or see next doing ISP tech support
many people consider me as system administrator and sort of system analyst, but i do consider myself as a programmer... ;)

Unix systems administrator (current job holding with HP servers including an RP8400 that has dual partitions hooked to an XP512 with another XP512 hooked to an L2000 and an N-class server). Running experience is 7 years concurrent.
When I'm not doing that, I'm at home working on my linux server or gaming until my eyes bleed.
16 year old student, website designer, home network administrator, designed the network for my school, set up a Linux box at school when they put broadband in (stupid people forgot to install a firewall!), unemployed, spend all my time on AntiOnline, when really I should be revising for my GCSE exams that start May 15th!!!
I am 19 yrs old. I got to school full time working towards a minor in philosophy and a major in kinesiology. Computers have just been my hobby since I was little. For work I am a CAD Designer/Estimator for a local engineering company.
I'm 20 and trying to get some kind of computer job. I am a full time head stocker where I work. Going to school full time trying to get my net admin. degree, plus all the others too. Somebody hook a brother up with a job! Holla
I'm 18 years old, failed on school. I have as a hobby webdesigning. The only reason I work is to pay my rent, food and my website. Oh life is nice.

I`m only a kid...yes i`m 14. Don`t laught...:) I`m just sitting a lot of time on computer and most of time a read security new, reviews and other **** with security...other time i`m sniffing my network and trying to kill connections :)

Well i'm 31 years old & giving tech support(win 98 ME XP NT Wap OS) to clients .We are the biggest ISP in our country and believe me when i'm saying that 70% of our country is illiterate.
I'f any one got something better please mail me .I'm willing to migrate!

I am a programmer/software developer for a small software company. Not very exciting work, but it pays the bills!
I'm 31 y old working at a bank. I migrated from to be a computer technician to security technician a few years ago (win,*nix, as400, novell, bank systems). The only main difference today is the monthly paycheck and a lots more boring administrative tasks.
The same for me.. I would be happy to change work and even move to a warmer country then Finland :).Quote:

20 years, studying telecommunications at czech technical university faculty of electrical engineering... huh:) right now I have no job just time to time helping my friends in their pub... :drink:
