Yes, I remember JP saying that it will be housed by AO, but I'm still wandering who exactly will setup it up, run it, and fix it when it gets taken down (I'm sure it will be taken down a numbwer of times)

Yeah, but not by me. :) ;)
If it gets taken down, then somebody's Dos'in and they shouldna be doin' that. Hope everybody plays fair and nice. . .about exactly who it is, I dunno, I don't think he's said yet. He did say he doesn't have very much info. about it either, though. Wahoo, I'm still excited, wanna play wanna play, . . .wonder if I have to actually list the kinda box that I use in that profile thingie to play.
Not unfair to DOS, d3l3t3d. If a box is shut down and has to be restored, sometimes the security is weaker. A DOS can shut down programs like firewalls and such (sometimes... well, if you're lucky ;) and is most certainly fair (war)game!
Feel free to phlame me,

Sometimes, yes I agree, you might be able to get the box to execute an arbitrary command to, hopefully, allow you more rights on the box, but usually not, usually the Dos'ers do that cause it's all they know
can people make sth like a group? to help each other the people of the group and exchange their info?
Yeah, if you wanna.. .unless Jp makes some sort of rules that don't allow it.
well, what you say JP?
A DoS *can* be usefull, like restarting to clear things up or load some things during the start up...
Oh completely agreed, that's not how I would go about startin' the whole thing though, IMO.
I and I think everybody except maybe the really really low rated guys got the message
I would consider myself low rated.. I don't know Jack Shite, Newbie and all that....Quote:

and yep I got the message... you mean not everyone got it?
Cheers
The PM was most likely a way to see how much interest there would be in participating, JP said that you would be contacted if yer were actually selected, atleast I think he said that somewhere. . .that's why the whole profile thingie popped into it, 'screening' process.
To make clear something:
1. People whose antipoints are more than 0 have already received the PM.
2. So people whose antipoints are less than 0 haven't received the PM until their antipoints get bigger than 0.
This was something that only a few thousands of people know that ;) :) .
