Then, whatever friends i have made on AO, i was made to know that 3-5 people, including debwalin, were the ones who basically bitched about me in IRC, so i easily figured it was them. souleman always had a fight with me, somehow, and deb and he have a public alliance, so the situation kind of became obvious to me. And not many, i must have negged 3 or 4 times, out of frustration or anger, or both. If i'm being called the abuser for that, well and good. However, i also found out the real culprit, who negged me all the time.
So it's a case of misinformation, and the language i used while spitting out my anger, yes, i could apologize for that, but not my action.
P.S. - In case the general thought is that i was giving AP's without knowing that they are no longer anonymous, well untrue. I knew and i still did it, because it was an open conspiracy as far as i was concerned at that time.

Gotta love the fact that names are now shown. I made about 10 to 15 completely useless posts last night, just to see what would happen. Not only did I not even get 1 negative ap assignment, but I was actually given a positive assignement by someone.
So now that it is in place... loks like it is going to be ass kissing that has begun. Does this mean I am expected to return the favor and give the guy greens for some stupid post that he makes? Why would someone give greens to a post that said *fart*
Maybe I should go out and give greens to a few useless posts, just to see what happens. And then i will go give reds to some other posts and see if they try retribution.

The only time we ever said anything about being in an alliance is when we were making fun of other people that have one. Well, i can only speak for myself, but i give antipoints to many people, and many times not even for useful post's. I don't expect anything in return, most of mine i give out to the newbies and those on the verge of banishment. I have given many people AP's mulitple times and never see them assign me one back, it does'nt bother me a bit, cause i don't expect them back. Hell i don't care if the people i green give me one or not, i'll keep giving them the AP's cause i want them to have it.Quote:

Your right though, perhaps some kissing ass will take place, but we can't know for sure since the names are forced signed. I know before the new feature was in place i was working on assigning all of mine without a signature. There is no more of that, but i think the forced signatures are more helpful than hurtful, so there will inevitably be those who think people are kissing ass, but that's not always the case. We may never know.
Just my thought's on this one. :)

The answer is actually quite simple...AP abuse is EVERYONE'S business because this is a community, not a DMZ. I don't care who you are....I'm not the type of person to watch people get abused and NOT do something about it. I posted the conversation in the Addicts forum that I had with invader. After about 15 minutes and a few replies, I ended up taking it down. I figured I'd just let it go and let things be. I am curious to know how I ever got involved in all of this, since A.) I'm always on IRC at one point during the day. B.) I don't remember invader once ever chatting with me C.) I must not have been there when the jokes were being made about invader.
I apologize if there was some mixup, but I'm not about to get involved in a pointless AP war. As you said in your PM to me, invader, no...I have nothing to worry about from you, because you hold no weight towards the weight I have. That's all well and good. I just don't appreciate the comments.
To me, it's not worth the bother of getting angry about. (*taps prodikal on the shoulder*). But, invader, how different is vigilante activity like that (towards the wrong people) compared to the alliances out there? If you feel you've been treated injustly, like Deb's AP loss, then it should have been reported to the admin. They can go through all of your AP's, find out who they were from, and restore what you lost needlessly, that is - if that's what really matters here and not the revenge aspect of it.
I think the whole matter should be dropped. The majority of us are adults here. Post a couple of tutorials, answer a few questions, you'll be surprised how quickly you'll gain back what you've lost, invader.
