I'm not going to bring political discussion on here. It's like throwing a skunk onto the table at a dinner party.

That was my point. And me being someone who can agree and disagree with both the main parties (Because I'm Libertarian) I can be a true Diplomat and see both sides and know they're both full of it.
Good, we agree so we don't have to discuss it further LOL. I'm also leaning toward that particular party. I'm encouraging everybody I know to vote for ANY party other than the big two. Neither is looking out for you.

:) If we DO Believe in Personal Responsibility, then they will be elected in. They're the only ones who really push the whole personal responsibility thing.
OK, so to recap:
1. AO is slow as long as the thread isn't about why AO is slow. Then it's booming.
2. While it's fine to talk about that Purple miscreant that danced, we can't hurt someone's feelings anymore like we used to a few years ago. They might get upset no matter how many times they themselves have said similar to you personally.
3. Teabags is a hilarious name but only if your last name is Palin.
4. I'm a big doody head.
5. I'm REALLY REALLY Mean. Apparently having Bastard and Luser Abuser as a custom title for the last 5 years or more translates into "You must be helpful, serious, calm, patient, and even though you help whoever messages you with issues, you're still a big meanie head"... Yea it didn't make sense to me either.
6. It's OK to write a song, but replying to Sarin about Ghosts after he's been gone forever, isn't...
7. We should vote Libertarian.
8. Barny still sucks.
Alright! I think if we only post why AO is slow, we'll be going through 200 new posts a day! Woot, easy street here we come!
And if I play a show for Joe, I can be a rock star. Sweet.
were is this "TeaBags" person you all keep talking about?
or am i missing some "Inside" joke
browsing the member list doesn't bring up any "TeaBagging" results ;)
I can give you results teabagging if you really want. Should only take a few tries ;)

5. Gore's not really mean, in fact I would say he's very closely related to big cuddly teddy bears. Though I would never use calm or patient to describe my darling husband.
8. I know you like Patrick from Spongebob better. Barney does suck.
Hahahahaha. Yea, a Teddy Bear with a Butcher Knife. I can't even remember who called me that but I had a good laugh anyway.
Ahhh leave it to a Wife to make that many corrections ;)
There is an old German saying; "When you've ruined your reputation you can live quite freely".
I don't think anyone here is going to be shocked by anyone saying much about me ;)
Yep a caravan.

And since it's my latest hobby (and not where I live) it takes up time in my life - less time to "forum"
TBH I lament the decline in forums in general, a bit like I lamented the decline in usenet news. I'm only bothered when I haven't got anything else to do.
Cheers.

JP -You chicken:cool:
We need a global government with a common currency. This new world order should be ran by Al Gore and Princess Stephanie of Monaco
MLF will be the supreme governor of the Northern Hemisphere and I "THE Bastard SysAdmin" will be the supreme governor of the Southern Hemisphere.
Cheap Scotch Ron will be in charge of selling the Vatican and all it's assets, then spreading the proceeds equally amongst the worlds population - thereby solving world poverty and hunger. CSR will reserve the right to replace Catholicism with any religion he chooses just as long as the doctrine and dogmatic rule were laid out (made up) by himself and three other really drunk people.
Opus and Dice get the network.
I'm intrigued.
more like getting sucked in...
$40B... that's some serious pirate booty.Quote:
In 1994, for the first time in its history,
the (Vatican) bank was audited by an outside element - Price Waterhouse. In that year, the
bank had deposits of $40 billion, and annual profits of $4 million.
Reese notes, after an interview with the head of the bank, that "it is
unclear how much working capital the bank has beyond its deposits",
and that some estimated it as high as $1 billion, before 1984 payments
to creditors of a collapsing Italian Bank (a scandal known as "Banco
Amrosiano" Scandal). The budget of the Vatican City itself is $130
million annually.
No worries...I'll make them an offer they cant refuse. ;)
Wow, this place still around. . .

I should catch up . .
Yea I have been wondering where YOU'VE been. Other than when I see you on MSN which has been a while. My list got screwed up so I saved it this time.
Spent a bit reading this thread, and i guess the original dwindle in numbers may of been due to this?
if i remember correctly i was not the only person to recieve these "Spam Pm's" a few years back?
Man I remember those. Didn't know Max was part of the spamming committee.
So just to add to the new world order, The Egg man is head chancellor of spamming and all things annoying.
*note* If this thread goes on long enough, we will be able to define the new world order according to AO and we will all finally know the truth about Gore! - Such a sweet little teddy bear of a guy he is.... ROFLMAO!
Dino, I misunderstood you, did you say hook your desk up to an outlet to help you with the Shock treatment? (Gotta Love how a Ramones song can make someone enthused about electricity :) ).
Well, that's 30 minutes I'll never get back, thought this thread was going to be interesting, other then flagrantly ripping off the Boomtown Prats and Barney...what the heck is up with Ghosts...? But on the other hand, I see the usual suspects are still hanging around...:D
Profuse apologies to those who are not Dr. Who? fans:
"Exterminate"
:) The black Dalek
Yeah, talk about ghosts.
You know, I just Googled something IRC related and this thread came up. I'm surprised it's still active for as off topic as it's gotten - well, maybe not surprised considering the site. Most of us AWOL are still in contact, though. You've just got to know where to look. It's certainly not Tazz.
Greek_Godess :hello:
It's been waaaay to long since you last appeared here. You really should stop dissapearing for such long periods of time. :)
I was pretty Shocked to see her too lol.
Anyway, Happy Easter everyone!
Can you give me a hint? Or is it a secret?Quote:

I knew it! - everyone left Unerror and started a new IRC community without me!!! :P
That can't happen. It's sort of like telling someone what "138" means ;) Looking it up will give you 10 answers, and some of them are fake to screw with people.
I know it took us 7.5 million years to solve for 42 and then we forgot the question.
Don't you dare quote that! ..... Ugh... *Searching for Towel to gag you with*
:duh:
How is it this thread seems to be reborn every several months over the course of the last several years?
I do miss the old days, but forums in general have changed.
However, funny note, a local friend of mine who has never been to AO before was trying to Google research a wireless problem he was having, and the Google search returned a thread here I started back in 2004. So I just got an IM with "Is this AngelicKnight you?", knowing that's also my sn on Steam.
What are the odds huh? That was awesome.
That was quite a coincidence. If everyone that missed the old days, which granted are gone forever, would just hang around, we could start a new period of prosperity. It would never be like the old days (things never are), but could still be worthwhile.
Agreed. Which is why I continue to pop in every now and then.
*cough*
AO had value for the frequently submitted tutorials / original content. Seems to be more of a IT forum / helpdesk now. Haven't gotten good use of AO in 3 maybe 4 years.
I still check every so often though. If there was a better system to incentivize good content, I bet people would come back.
