I think our best bet would be to find a public server that is not being used, or has hardly anyone in there. as I don't think my DSL is fast enough to handle this game as a server. lol

What kind of a connection you got dead? Cause some of the servers have a autokick that kicks if your ping is above a certain number.
You might also want to download the battlefield 1942 1.5 patch. I think thats pretty big as well, and you'll need it to play.
