um, a year ago, i bet your opnion would be different on this. the truth is that the gov. knows all they have to do is put "anti-terrorism" or "homeland defence" in the title of any bill and everyone will thing its just the best f'n thing arround. governments use times like this to set themselves up for more perminant power. if they want my f'n email, get a search warrent and go to my ISP to get it. dont just take it whenever you feel like it.Quote:

since you mentioned the scope for abuse, how about this: do you think that bored FBI agents wont use this for "entertainment"? it wouldnt surprise me if they did. not at all.
anyone who has first-hand experiance with the US Gov. knows that they are way to bass ackwards and idiotic to know how to properly deal with this type of info. i mean, im sure that alot of security related email that i get will set off huge red lights in this system, and i dont really feel like being investigated for being a "terrorist hacker" because that is what they'll do now. no matter what crime it is you are doing, they'll label it "terrorism".
