bimmer - there actually was a people in that land before arabs or jews existed. I think they got assimilated however. Your conclusion - no solution is really more to the point. Rather than wrangling over who was there first or whatever, maybe if the two sides get new, young leaders with fresh ideas and the ability to convince their people to get along, it would work.
Interesting to see you say Arafat is a terrorist. While that may be true, Sharon is also an evil man who quite possibly oversaw some atrocities in his time. The world needs to retire these two old fools and give their peoples hope.

I think the first thing that needs to be done to reach any amount of progress is to get that idiot Sharon out of the way. That man has caused far more harm than good and needs to be put away immediatly.
Arafat is a moron too if you ask me, get rid of him as well. An international effort should be made to restore peace and to bring terrorists to justice.
I belive in a solution because this is not a war of religion, nor of people but of politics. Jews and muslims have lived side by side in Haifa and other cities without problems.
Bimmer, I really feel for you and I hope you hang in there until this madness blows over.
Once peace is settled I think it is time to kick out the jewish settlers from palestina and reestablish the palistinian authority.
There's a whole lot of desert there. Enought for two countries and two religions if you ask me.

i have to agree with Alcatraz, the west had no right to give the palistinians land away.
unfortunatly, we wern't around to speak up and there is no way, apparent, to undo it.
we in the west have supported israel and encouraged its growth, can we now turn our backs on them?
On the other hand, when the state of isreal was formed, it was stated that the palistinians were not to be displaced, and they have been.
well here's another nice mess we've gotten ourselves into.
