some routers are easily manipulated by adding modules for different ports. you can pretty much add anything you need.

I connect at my office through T1 :) and at home through modem, though we are working on getting cable.

My mother said "You must have a router in your head, you only let through the things you want". So I just connect the cable modem to one ear through cat5, and a cat5 out of my other ear into the PC. I must get a lot of DATA DUMPS, I spit out binary for up to 4 hours after I disconnect from my personal router.

for home i got dialup (for normal usage) and adsl for my web and mail servers. at work we are getting a frame relay link installed.. i don't know the full specs just yet, but since we've got an isp, its fast enough. as for the dialup side of things, i'm sick of hearing the handshaking so whenever i can i silence it.
