At the end of the gulf war the US thought that the people of Iraq would overthrow saddam by themselves. It's easy to look back now and say that was a bad decision. We would be doing the world a favor if we took saddam out now. But honestly we're spread too thin and need to focus with the bigger problem at hand.
Why is it that the rest of the world doesnt see him as a threat? Why is it that the arab world doesnt see him as a threat? I mean, the guys a freaking hate monger. And to be honest, I think thats where Osama is hiding out. I been saying that since, they lost him. I mean, if he can hide weapons like he does, he can hide a man.
I can see it now, Sadaam and Osama chillin, smokin hash outta the huuka. And I think BUSH may know it. Which would explain why BUSH is so apt to keep his motivations a secret.
If Osama knew, that BUSH knew, where he was, he would be gone in an instant. Any1 eles share this veiw
Uhmm.. dude, as much as we'd all LIKE to believe your story, we don't. I doubt they know what hash is. J/k man :P. I do know however that a small hint to bin laden that bush know's his whereabouts would make him move instantly. I do, however, doubt he is with saddam hussein. That's JMHO.
Once upon a time we sent a flood of weapons into a country called Afghanistan in order to aid the 'freedom fighters' in their battle against the former Soviet Union, at the time perceived as our enemy. During that same approximate era, we also sent a flood of weapons into a country called Iraq in order to aid them in a battle against Iran, also a less-than-friendly nation. Methinks there is a lesson in here somewhere, wouldn't you agree?
IMHO I dont think Saddam and Osama are chilling together....contrary to popular belief Saddam is actually Secular(I know that's hard to believe :)) where as OBL is from a very Puritannical sect. Which immediately sets them at odds from each other.
Yeah, allenb, the lesson is simple: You can't trust everyone. You'd figure America would learn it soon. I mean there may very well be a time when we will have another enemy, one who we once supported. I definitely think there is a lesson.
It is a totally different environment over there. Iraqi people and their culture seems totally different. Check out this site if you do not believe me. Different values and beliefs. According to Iraqi news Agency it is okay for them to attack the Trade Towers because it was warranted. But it is not okay for us to Bomb Iraq or any other Western Country.
