Glad you are ok.....
I spent 2 weeks in the hospital 25 years ago
due to getting Zapped
Dammed.... I had to learn how to walk all over again....
Well good luck and be careful....
Its good to hear that you are OK JP, and also to hear that Antionline came back up without a hitch.
Glad you are ok JP!!
P.S. Tell me if i am wrong, but I thought you guys in the US ran 110VAC not 220VAC?
For the 110VAC curcuits how many amps come out of your sockets?
The US/Canada runs most of it's servers on 110 VAC 60 Hz
but the UPS for Antionline could have been the 220 Volt model and step down to
110 because it was a hi-amp hour backup type.
(A fire breathing Dragon!!! UPS)
My servers at the NOC I am at is 110 VAC and I use
a bunch of small 700 VA UPS's.... They were cheep at
Sams Club
I suppose I could have run at 220....
At my Shop I use 110 VAC except for my Hot Water Heater,
and electric Boiler for heat.... and the stove....
My cost per KW is 3 cents, the Noc is much the same....
Well thirdeg if you remember some physics..
P=V*A
Watt = Volt (times) Amps
So that would be double the amps you have when you run on 220VAC
Yeah but we used to have a 5Amp 240V main in our house. So you have 26 Amps at 110V?
Well glad you are ok :) Scary though if you are asleep at home and the thing blows :(
im not getting an APC anymore hehehe
i'll settle for some downtime
Ironically Enough, That is when I bought the web domain www.down-time.net. I thought you guys might want to know.
Greetings All:
Ok, I got tired of all of the lame "the battery never died, you just got DDOS" threads. So, here are a few pics. End of story.
