OK, I'm folding and joined to the group, but my name's not showing up on any of the stats pages. I want to make a contribution, but can't figure out if there might be something wrong.
Does anyone happen to know what's up?

Your name wont show up until you've finished your first work unit. Notice the 014/400 or whatever yours might be... when you finish the project (ie 400/400), then it will report the results back to the server and yourn name will appear shortly thereafter.
cool. Thank you.
Nice idea :).
Tim_axe: If you decide to continue the graph do you think it's possible for you to export the graph to html and make it available for all of us folders ?
When we now have started to grow a little bit, is there any idea for us to start a team site with some help (tutorials) and maybe some stat's and other information? Or is it enough to use AO as the primary information site ? We do have some skilled webdesigners here and with their help would it probably be an easy task to create a Team site for us poor folders ;).Quote:

Attached is a bar graph of progress. The little yellow bar at the top is AO. The other bars are for the top 100. If we want to catch up, we will have to work hard. I'm planning on doing this for about a month to get an idea of when we will catch up to the top 100.
BUT... bluebeard just posted a link to something just as helpful. I'm just having a difficult time working in their applet, but it is good helpful information...
BTW, shouldn't we start a Conference Room? Well, maybe not... It is good to let everyone know that we are making progress!

I signed up too, havn;t got my other machine fully tuned yet, but it'll be folding soon, I'm using my main box to fold right now, I'm at 69/200.....hmmm, I think the Seti@Home proggy looks better though :P hehe
any ways.....it should be up soonish :)

I've finally collected my second data sample. I'm checking the rankings of the Top 100 + AO once a week, and recording the data. I still don't think I have enough data to plot, but I'd have to edit my data to graph properly after I do get it.
My next data collection day is 3-21-2003: 00:00:00 to 00:00:01 if I'm lucky. I might have to get it the day before at 23:00:00, like I did today. (*Choke*...trying to keep out the time-zone differences...)
Hope this is helpful. BTW, from the looks of things, this no longer shows up on the main AO index page. Since it doesn't show up on the main page, I no longer have to feel guilty for bringing it back up...

Nice work Tim,
I have added a virtual host at my server with the stats and graphics. I will move everything to a public server when I have some spare time to find a suitable host and open a account (my dsl is kinda slow).

I know this thread is more about folding than SETI but I ran across this
article from berkley that say's the SETI project will be investigating 150
promising signals..

Search for ET to look again at 150 signals
By Robert Sanders, Media Relations | 10 March 2003
BERKELEY – After more than a million years of computation by more than 4 million computers worldwide, the SETI@home screensaver that crunches data in search of intelligent signals from space has produced a list of candidate radio sources that deserve a second look.
Three members of the SETI@home team will head to Puerto Rico this month to point the Arecibo radio telescope at up to 150 spots identified as the source of possible signals from intelligent civilizations.
