You're right, of course, but the liberals aren't always the most rational people. Even before the election results came in, they knew that Arnold was gonna win, and said on TV that if he is elected they won't work with him and if he doesn't have the state turned around in a hundred days they will try to recall him. It's strange how they complain when their own canidate is being recalled, saying it is illegitimate and unwarranted, but then when they loose they are ready to do the same to their opposition before he's even had a chance.

The way its looking right now though, it seems like the republican part is gaining foot holds. I mean this is what first time in 5-6 years that California has had a republican Governor. Maybe we can have this happen again in the next election.

Let me tell you a little fact about American media in general. THEY ARE ALL BIASED in some way. I feel that the American media tends to be very conservative. Look at all the headlines after September 11th. You didnt see anything saying, "Maybe we need to question our president in what he is doing." It was all just blindly follow your president or you are unamerican. You dont believe in the "war on terrorism?" Then you are against us you commie/terrorist! ;)

I would like to see any news story that quoted the democrats in California as saying they were going to try to recall the Terminator. If you can show me an article, I might change my mind on this, but as far as I have heard on NPR and other sources, the democrats were going to try to work with Arnold.

I started searching because I saw several on tv the night of the election stating they were going to file suit against it and organize a recall. I couldn't find a transcript but I did come across dozens of activist groups calling forth petition, not sure of the "official" stance. Funny, he's not even in office. What if he does a good job?

I didnt see any link to the Democratic party eithier. The Recall Arnold site just looks like a site to sell T Shirts and make money. ;)

Well I have to say that I hope to hell he does do an ok job. For all the money we spent on a recall election he better well do a good job. I am really interested to see what happens after he does his audit of the California books and what expenses he wants to cut. He also promised voters that he would lower the DMV registration fees so I would like to see what happens with that also. Hopefully he will work on what he promised in the campaign and people will just not forget. (And get rightly pissed if he does not come through with his promises)

Also, for the record, I do think Arnold is an intelligent guy (hell of a lot smarter than Bush), I just worry about him not having any political experience.

Never said all I listened to was NPR. I get most of my sources of information from political magazines and news sources on the net.

All I'm saying is that NPR is a little too far to the left to make me believe them! :D

As for the net, you can't believe everything you read. But that's your problem, not mine! :D

Understandable, but CNN and BBC are reputable sites...I am not talking about Joe Blows news pages. ;)

I agree, but they also tend to report only one side of the story. I generally buy into www.foxnews.com for more "fair and balenced" :D news. Of course, they are known for being pretty conservative, so I guess I sometimes get only one side of the story, too. That's why I like Hannity and Colms, it shows both sides. I agree, I would trust what I saw on CNN and the BBC unless a lot of evidence says otherwise, which I think would apply here.

I suppose everyone is really going to find the news site that aligns with their thinking. As far as things go, I do think that BBC does a decent job of reporting things fairly.
