death of word association

For goodness sake - a thread is closed and what happens? Some idiot starts yet another thread complaining about it. No doubt this will turn into another pointless waste of space thread, unless one of the mods comes in and locks it (although no doubt we would just then get a "why was the 'closed word association thread' closed?" thread). I used to have to deal with this issue when I moderated one of the intranet forums at my college and boy did it get tedious after a while.

For those of you who want to create these threads, go get a room or start your own forums and host your nonsense there, where everyone else doesn't have to see it. This is General Chit Chat, not General Crap Posting and Post Whoring.

As for Gore forcibly closing the thread, I'm disgusted that he had to do that in order to try and stop the blatant post whoring in there. If you got some negs as a result, that's your problem - hopefully next time you'll think before cluttering up the site with your meaningless drivel.

Personally, I think the admins should be giving out some warnings to persistent offenders - APs don't work because somehow they manage to stay in the green zone even when they post more and more useless rubbish that I see every time I click 'view new posts'. I don't know whether there are a legion of AP alliances still in operation or whether greenies are just handed out to all and sundry nowadays, but either way something needs to be done about it.

The true is Senior don't want to punch full neg point. Some of us are becoming very powerfull, example Gore.

Well, the admins should impose a limit on how many negative points can be assigned at any time - i.e. calculate how many would normally be given out and cap it at say 30 APs (use whichever figure is lower). It's not difficult to do, unless such a limit is already in place.

They did that already. APs have been pretty much cut in half, and you give maybe half of what you used to. Also, it depends on which forum you're in. Security forums hit harder, and GCC and Cosmos probably hardly touch at all.

I don't really think anymore restrictions needs to be made, I think people can just learn the tried and true method of "Do what you want, and pay for it later".

Meaning don't be an *******, and if you do something like I did, make sure you boost them back up. If people learn not to abuse the system, and actually take responcibility, then there would be no probems.

I beg to differ - apart from anything else you seem unable to find the Shift button on your keyboard. I'll give you a clue, it's usually slightly to the left of Z and one up from Ctrl. Found it? Good, then all you have to do is depress it at the same time you need to type a capital letter.
