Assuming that it was a Boeing 757, hitting a window / doorway. This gives it the entry, its impetus gives it the force to go through, and once inside the explosion is enclosed, the forces are channelled in the direction of the aircraft, inwards. All force is expended INTO the building.
The footage I've seen, showed a possible entry. It hit a door / window.
It would be travelling at mucho knots, so getting it through the hole is NOT an issue.
As for missiles ................. 757 = 500 knots. Missiles = supersonic speed, 1000 mph +. these suckers are PAST you BEFORE you can hear them. No one make slow missiles as it gives the enemy more time to shoot them down ........If the witness said he heard AND saw the 'object' it wasn't a missile ............
Before the ICBM community get in. These travel at hypersonic speed. Orbital speed is 25000 mph mach 30 / 35. And I believe that they would have taken care of a damn sight more than one wing of the Pentagon .............

The planes were selected because they were long distance, internal flights. They were carrying approx 20 tons of fuel. 20 tons to bring down the biggest office block in the world .......... Not very realistic

Now the video of the Pentagon burning showed masses of black smoke [fossil fuel] . So you have to agree that there was a LOT of fuel present. Buildings generally will burn with a 'cleaner' smoke than a fossil fuel fire. Don't believe me ........ We used to run heavy oil burning boilers to generate steam, whilst they were running smooth, the stack would show little to no smoke. Upset the balance in the burn cycle, and watch the sh*te that comes out then ...............
WWII shipping would generate smoke to obscure the view of an attacker, they did it by dumping oil into the exhaust of the boiler.

I've been present on a refinery when 1000's of gallons of pitch / bitchumen / tar caught fire when a pipeline valve failed. It was a BIG fire, but it didn't destroy the refinery.
