The general feeling I get from Brits here is they like Bush, of course that definitely does not measure the general population. Perhaps they feel as I, they may not like everything Bush does, but who ever totally agrees with any one person. Some things he does pisses me off.
Erok: Fair enough and I am somewhat ashamed of many of my countrymen.... But then again many of them are about as English as you are nowadays so I guess I have something of an excuse..... :rolleyes:
In the final analysis though, why should you give a flying "you know" about what another country thinks of you unless they are ready to and capable of kicking your ass..... It is each nations job to work in it's own best interest just as it is every human being's job to work in their own best interest on a non-national level. That being said, when you do what is right for yourself or what is right for your nation then what anyone else says is irrelevant.
Can you argue within the nation as to the right and wrong of a national act or acts? Of course, but it simply isn't the business of unrelated nations to have an effect upon the national decision making process.

Why are you now living in Mexico? Does it have anything to do with a family member, or yourself working for a United States company that has moved some, or all of its manufacturing plants out of our country to Mexico? I live in SW Missouri where one of the largest Zenith manufacturing plants in our country packed up and moved to Mexico leaving this area in an impovereshed state that is still causing problems 10 or so years later. I believe it was the Reagon administration that allowed this to happen with one of their hairbrained ideas to help the big business tricke the money down to us. All it actually did was take away needed jobs and funnel the money into their corporate pockets and keep it from being used here. I will search for some facts and provide that too if anyone wants me too.

No, ppl hates him because G. Bush had conquered 2 countries. From an outside view, it looks more as a "empire victory" than as a "free world victory"....Quote:

Just saying that again, ppl around the world usually dont appreciate that a (HIGH POWER) country attacks other ones without (at least) UN permission. You can see the act as a "freedom fight", but i see as "USA Empire strikes again"....
Thats why USA should be carefull when goes around the world "freeing" ppl.
Other example: USA can get on North Korea and kick that ditador out. But a lot of ppl around the world will think "well, Emperos Bush strikes again". Thats no winner on those actions.
When its necessary to take an action like that, IMHO the only way is with the full support of UN. Doing things by itself just weaks UN (that isnt a strong organisation yet).
Democracy? So lets the NATIONS vote and follow the resolutions.
BTW, from the Iraq ppl point of view (not all, but a lot) they are slaved by USA.
At the same time people hold conferences all around the world all the time talking and crying about human rights violations and religious opression not too mention the treatment of women. Bah. After watching these events for decades I think they are full of hot air. Ms. Clinton has even attented a few. Making themselves feel good that they "hurt" for the mothers and girls in the middle east and else where while they have their genitals destroyed for the pleasure of men who control them. But in my personal opinion it's a shallow feeling. The same hidden contempt they have for those less fortunate in our own country. They ride on sorrow and oppression, it's their key to power. Without it they have no springboard. One of many views held in my mind.

There are two things that should be kept seperate (besides Church and State). They are that the people who organise such events are in many cases people who believe they may do some good while the high profile people who attend belive that the event may do them some good. The main problem is people in general care more about who supports an event rather than the event itself.
Back on topic I will be very glad when the americain presidential slander campaigne is over. It is after getting to the stage where it is no longer funny anymore and waht is worst half it is so bad it wouldnt even make the sun (English tabloid). Normally the presidential campaignes are fairly civilised and intelligent.
I would also disagree about the world hating americains . I for one like americains and I love one very special americain, but I dislike what Bush seems to stand for.
i agree MURACU it will be such a relief when these elections are over. i only hope with the amount of mud thrown from both sides that laws arn't passed that limit our free speech. maybe just the speech of those running for office.
