Let It All Out! -rant Thread-

My Rant: I hope people on AO start liking each other and start to get along. I mean jesus, you guys are making Kindergarten look as if it was even more mature than this. But in any sense, I got a billion other "rants". I ****ING HATE GEORGE BUSH, DICK CHENEY, AND THE WHOLE BUSH ADMINISTRATION.

Wow, that was something.. Anyways, this thread is kinda ehh because if you have a personal problem with an AO member and you decide to voice it, what's to stop them from negging you or something along those lines? Bleh, oh well.. Cosmos really should have the AP system taken out.

As some of you may know, I do long distance cycling. I also bike to work (the campus) on a fairly regular basis (2-3 times a week with a 4 day schedule). I also do longer training rides (30-50km for about 3 hours). Many of the streets I go on can be busy but I tend to leave early. As some of you have noticed, I'm up rather early in the morning (430ish am). That's so I can get some AO in before hitting the road.

Well this morning I left at a little earlier than previous days (5:45am) and was off to work. As I was coming down this one street, this cabby comes from behind me, slows down (the light is green so I can still go on), then decides he wants to go forward to turn right and is about to do it while I'm still going STRAIGHT!!! *******!! I tweeted my whistle and he acts surprised like I had just appeared or something.

*Eh* I continue some more and the stress goes away....

The particular street I'm on (Bloor-Danforth -- it changes it's name at Parliment Street -- Don't ask. I didn't name them) heads in an east-west direction (roughly). There are a few streets that start and end at Danforth so there are a few 3 way light intersections. Not a hard concept. Red light means stop. Green light means go. I'm still going along Danforth with a green light for me to go.

Dumbass, coming off of Parliament (and thus having to turn right against his red light that says no right turns on red) isn't paying attention. Now before someone says he probably didn't see you, I'd like to know how he couldn't see me since my bike light is what is know as a HID (High Intensity Discharge) light. This thing is brighter than some car lights. Now I can and often go at a fair clip (25-35km/hr, which on a bike can be fast). Again I get to tweet my whistle, although this time it's loud (nearly went deaf), I do it 3 times (and get to see the passenger look shocked and hear wheels squeeling) and have a stream of obscenities coming from me about the wonderful driving abilities of some people.

I know that cyclists are on the low end of the totem pole and some cyclists are total dumbasses but geez! ****in' pay attention out there!

My (older) brother had used to do that when he is about 18. You cant imagine angry (girls) mobs that had arrived at our door due to that...

Well, the rule as set by Cyb is we can't talk about other members. And if you talk about me, it better be ranting about how you're so frustrated not being able to be as awesome as me...Well, obviously that's the only possible rant you could have regarding me. In fact, perhaps you all need to have a good rant about how you wish you could be as cool as me. Just let it all out. :D

Heh heh, yeah...I'm sleep deprived.

So, another rant: I HATE OUR E-MAIL SYSTEM!!!!! Oh geez, we use FileMaker Pro 6.0 with a Pop3It add-on, and it is the frigginest buggiest e-mail program I've ever used! I've been getting calls all week from people who the program just keeps crashing on. Why? Who knows! I suspect it has to do with a certain malicious spam mail that I see floating around a lot. Anyway, if we'd just use Outlook, everything would be fine and simple, but nooooooo, we have to use the stupid buggy program that's overly complicated and doesn't make a lick of sense anyway! Woopty-friggin'-do! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

And if I get one more tech call on that program...I'm gonna...I'm gonna...fix it and whine about it here some more...

You know.. I still believe in a little netiquette and politeness. It's something that is often sorely lacking in our society these days I find..

Actually, that's because I moved AIM over to my Win98 machine on my LAN, Spyd, so my uptime will no longer be so keen. It's because I have a LAN (all on one desk, hehehe), and I've set that machine as my IM machine so I can do media and web surfing on the other. Yes, with three monitors going, it's the ultimate in multitasking, I'm rather proud of it. :D

I agree....I never really had a problem with cursing in posts and siggys and stuff like that...til I was without power for so long cause of the hurricanes, and the only internet access I had was at the public library where the computers are right next to the librarians desk, so she could see everything that I was looking at. Honestly, AO wasn't much of a problem, but some of the other forums I go to....eeeeesh, it was embarrassing!
