So so far, it's worked on one box, and failed on two. I wonder what they have in common?
everything is working on the new on i tried it on, except for the samdump2. Anything come to mind?
Nope, sorry I'm of little help.
lol its ok, ill live, thanks for everything
crap ran into another problem
when i do :
john password-hashes.txt -i:all
i get this
/opt/auditor/full/share/john/all.chr is invalid or not a file.
Did the the brute attack not come with auditor? Dictionary works just fine.
It may not come with Auditor, I don't think I tested the brute attack, just the wordlist. There may be a way to edit the john.ini or john.conf files to make it work. There may also be a command line flag to point it to the charset files if you can find them (use "locate all.chr").
I just looked for all.chr myself and it does not appear to be there. You may want to go to the Auditor forums and ask that they include it next time.
is there anyway i can get it?
EDIT: because i can put it on a floppy or usb and import it off of that.
Maybe, but first hand In don't know.
