It's impossible for anyone to know EVERYTHING about computers. It's just impossible, it's as simple as that. No one in the AO community nor anyone in the world knows everything about computers. That's why computer technology, operating systems and applications are created by teams of people, not one person. Can you imagine if Vista were being created by one person!?
Learn....
It is good to know just some common info about a little different stuff, and then chose some direction.
"As sade the bigges noumber just not exist, you can always add 1 to the end".
How much you need so much you take it costs just you time.
Visit Libery.
Bah, forget the library, the internet is 10 times better then the library... I live in the chicago area and I live 10 minutes away from the biggest/best public library in the country (they won some award for it... It is a huge library...) and I can say that I have learned a lot more from google then the library. Plus google is more convenient :).
Actually alot of Carolyn's books are a collection of reworded stuff. Fadia did the same. Much of which is pretty half-assed even for AO's standards as far as tutorials and articles go. Now that I think about it he did actually take a few half-assed tutorials from here. Then he yapped on about how he met alot of members here both on and offline.Quote:
PS
Ankit Fadia is a fraud. If you'd like to see one of the books that he stole...err...published, have a look at the early happy hacker papers.
What pretty much made me hate the guy was the whole "Spechackers" fiasco.

Hackers solve problems and build things, and they believe in freedom and voluntary mutual help. To be accepted as a hacker, you have to behave as though you have this kind of attitude yourself. And to behave as though you have the attitude, you have to really believe the attitude.
And then you get the crap about whitehats and blackhats..
I'm with something SuperSpecialists Ego said a while ago..
Anybody calling himselve a hacker is an ASSHAT !!
What you need to do is pic a subject or more..

I suggest you talk to a Carrier Advisor at some of your colleges, provided you're being serious and not humouros about it.
Just before you dive into it, remember to really like and enjoy what you're doing, otherwise you will loose your motivation alltogether, which is why many people tend to quit .. once they start to get into the thechnical stuff about computers, but I'm sure that you already have that motivation since you want to become rich and succesful ...
and to become really rich, succesful, famous and all that... you need to be creative,
Creativity cannot be thought, are you creative enough in this field?
The answer to that rests with you.
