Youth of the Nation.....hahahah, your all a bunch of self serving little prats, you couldn't hold a candle to those who have served or are serving.......I will agree that most of those dodgy weekend warriors are flogging it, as to the taxes, what you think the members in the Military don't pay taxes, you have got to be kidding right?
Weee... this is starting to be fun.... I'm guessing people on IRC are laughing if they're on here right now cuz they all know I'm not this extremist.... but some of you are so extremist in the opposite direction that this really cures my boredom and since I have nothing to do today... let's keep going...
I can hold a candle to anyone who's serving right now.... I was assaulted by a member of the Canadian military in a bar one night... He told me to be afraid because he'd had unarmed combat training... Took me a total of 30 seconds to leave him crying on his ass... They pay taxes... but something tells me they don't pay 100% (and that'd be the only way they're paying their own salary).. which means I'm paying part of their salary and I have a problem with that...

The entrance requirements have changed since the early 70's and as I don't think your old enough to know the differences, it's probably been since the mid 80's that you had to have High School diploma to get in.....what has wages got to do about respect....
Well then maybe he snuck past the system.... He still failed shop and they've got him working as a mechanic??? No wonder the army has so many problems...... Wages have a lot to do.... those that aren't there because of their lack of intelligence or their family.. are their for the highly overpaid salaries.... I'm willing to bet very few of them would be willing to stay if they were getting minimum wage... and those few... well they actually believe their doing good and prove that they want to make a difference... (or they really like being a killer)... but I can respect them for sticking it out..

Anybody with a mindset like this should seek professional help.......
How many shrinks are in the Canadian and American military then??? It must take a long time to provide professional help to that many hired killers.

The very fact you can spout such drivel is down to the fact that these people who gave their very lives allows you this......
No one has ever invaded my country... not that anyone in our modern military would have defended me against... I love people that say that... "These brave men and women are the reason you have your freedom"... BS... they're the reason that most of Europe has their freedom.. Taking up arms to defend your own country is fine... it's when it goes beyond that that you have a problem... Im also not sure if you read what I said... I said no one since WWI/WWII has done anything to earn their respect.... Anyone who's died since then didn't know how to pull the cord on their chute... or choked eating food that my tax dollars paid for... Modern military members haven't proven themselves.. they're getting a cushy ride...

So that assuages your guilt does it? we are our brothers keeper, and if we can't help those less fortunate, wherever they may live, then why bother?
Then let's help those less fortunate in our own country.... why do it elsewhere... that doesn't make sense... Help your own first.. You still never answered whether you'd help me or your dying kid if you had to pick... So why do we help others instead of our own?

The Military in Canada, as a whole, probably do more for kids charities then all other organisations together, so don't pose a question like that until you have walked in the shoes of a member of the Military, who have sacrificed their time with their families so people like you can sleep at night.....
What have they done... I see the firemen running boot drives.. I see the cops doing fishing trips with kids... I see lyons club sending kids to disney land.. I've never seen a military kids day... They have recruiting sessions.. but I don't think that really counts... They used to have dances at the armories back home.. but again... don't think that counts as Charity work.... and they haven't sacrified anything for me to sleep at night.... Especially since I haven't slept in the last week... the current military has sacrified time away from their families so they can send home even more of my tax payer dollars..
Peace,
HT
