Hi preacherman481,
Is he trying to ' download ' videos or just watch them?
If he's trying to just watch them and they're flash videos then he needs to download Shockwave...am I right?
Eg ;)
I don't believe WMP does, but his browser should.
I tend to be the only realist around. Delete WMP and reinstall it. Then see what happns. Also Give a check of your AV and Spyware checker. THere are atleast 2 things that run around and mess with that.
I can't remember if you said this or not, but can you play video with other programs? Like what if you try real player etc...
If so that means it's just a WMP problem.
Last but not least. I am going to educate you on the single most important fact about computers. Never call the help desk. THey don't help. They usually are under-paid and pretty much know just a little more than you do about computers.
You are best to check out the website of the distributer of the software for good answers.

sorry nokia...
*gets on his knees*
Feel better now?
Most people tend to tell you to do everything in the world but delete the software and reinstall.
so I downloaded Macromedia Flash, I have the latest codecs.Still nothing.
This is probably all about this media player.
I tried uninstalling it and downloading it again, but it tells me that I already have the latest version on my computer.
Howdy.
Just curious though, yahoo sometimes pops up a new windows type thing in the browser, and that new windows plays the media file.
And as you have got your pop up blocker on maybe that might be causing the problem..
Also maybe delete your cache in your browser as it might be full and could be causing a probem.
usually it's via
Tools -> Internet Options -> delete cookies -> Delete Files -> Delete All offline pages
and also check to see if the windows media player is set as the default player. Sometimes the real player messes up the other players, so you need to reset the default player options.
cheers

ok. So I'm still not able to watch videos. I did get a view error messages though.
C00D11C6 and Code 14-C00D11BB.
ANybody know how to fix those?
Thanks for all your help!
By the way, it seems like i'm not the only one experiencing this annoying problem I've looked into many sites with people complaining about the sam e issue, bu t no on seems to know the solution. UNBELIEVABLE!!
Go to the Windows meadia help section and look at the error codes - C00D11C6 = Sever does not support WMP or WMP does not support the file. My money is on the server not supporting WMP.
Open Windows Media player > Help > Troubleshooting - then on the left hand side of the web page move your cursor over Using the player and select Error codes.
Its all there, you just may have to trawl theough it untill you find your solution.

hello again. So I found all the error messages and all of them say: Additional information is not currently available for this error. WHAT THE FU***? What's wrong with these people?
What is bothering me is that I didn't have a problem playing everything before.
WHY? WHY? WHY?
I tried different URL's all of them come with the same error messages (see above).
Thank you for your help again. I hope someday someone fixes this problem.
I also wonder if they have no additional info available for this error, if I paid the $59.95 for the "advanced technical help" would they even be able to help me?
Or would I get :sorry we did everything we know to do in the book, and so pretty much you are screwed and out of $59.95.
This the most frustrating thing ever.
By the way again, it's with all the web sites. I just simply can't play any videos whatsoever. :shootem:
