But what do we do? What really sucks here is that BOTh Republicans AND Democrats are being sucky on this issue. For once they actually agree, and they agree on the WRONG thing. As this thread demonstrates, it seems most American citizens agree this needs to be resolved...yet most politicians think it should be ignored.

This isn't the bit I saw on the Military channel, but it's coming, and in parts already here. I am betting they will deploy some robots for this. What does that have to do with this thread? Nothing, other than, if they deployed robots and reported on it to the mass media, it would further distract us from the real issue of reviewing and revising our immigration policies to something realistic and enforceable.

they army well be lucky to have one bullet they have to keep in their pocket like barney fife. so far one person has been shot and killed going into mexico...go figure.
if 12 million low payed people are given citizenship making it legal to hire them you'd all better plan to take a nice cut in pay. of course taxes will have to go up to provide no interest mortages so they can start a house hold.

You are probably not going to like this but I would say it is your own fault. It is the fault of the farmers and others who will only employ illegals. It is too easy for illegal immigrants to find work in the states. The US makes it extremely difficult for people to get in legally and then accepts having hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants working openly all over the country. The problem you have is your own laws are not being enforced. As long as there is a demand for a cheap exploitable workforce. Where the people who employ them face no risks. Then you will have run away immigration. If you got rid of all the illegal workers from the southren states overnight most of the crops would die in the fields and nothing would be cleaned. Illegal immigration shouldn't be criminalised employing them should be. Of course that wouldn't work as most of your political class would end up in jail.
