There is no reason in the world to close this thread. This makes the other longest thread look small.
If Ennis feels like it should be closed due to too much post wh0ring, it's his decision, he is the MOD of GCC.
Memory, I don't think Ennis meant closing the thread. I think it something that each member should face up to and deal with their own "post whoring". There is a fine line between post whoring (posting for the sake of numbers) and posting because your in a conversation. I think there a lot of posts in here that were done as part of a conversation but there are a few that had no reason d'etre.
But if I recall, this whole thread was a non-sensical thread. And honestly, I'd rather the "useless" posts be in this thread than all over the place.
Who gives a **** what Ennis thinks? It's all about what I WANT. :(

Sometimes there are actual conversations that go on in here, and other times, I guess its just a bunch of BS.
I would like to see this thread stay open though. I know that some of us have posted stuff in here, instead of opening up a whole new thread to post.
