I know that when I started posting in this thread, I was already at Senior status, but there sure could be a lot of newbies coming and posting in here, then 2 weeks later, they're at addict status. lol
Like you said though if we could make it so posting in this thread does not affect post count then that would definitely take away the issue of post whoring.

most of the people who post here it is not going to effect their post count anyways - like myself - once you get over 1000 posts i dont think it matters anymore
but if you can stop posts in here form showing up on the post count all well and good :)
but dont close it :( this is my baby - i have nutured it and watched it grow - and as MsM said tis better to have the non-sense all in here than scattered over the boards ;)

I wouldn't like it closed either. Whenever i come to AO i visit this thread. And yes it does decerase the bulshit that would be posted on forums without this thread. I just though Ennis would like it closed and since he is the mod he should know what's best.
btw: MsM wy does it say only "Moderator" under your name? Aren't you still AO newsletter mod, or does this mean you are like AO moderator now?

It seems that this thread has a life all of it's own now, seems a shame to kill it. if it would be possible to remove this thread from post count all well and good. But I suspect that if it is killed, then its successor would only be a page away?
